Four to six hours on a guided family float featuring small rapids — includes lunch at Discovery Park and opportunities for snacks and drinks.
Join a guided float trip on the Rogue River, perfect for families with children aged 2 and older. You'll be picked up in downtown Ashland between 10 AM and 4 PM, with trips running from May 8 to September 8. The float features small class I and II rapids, offering a smooth journey in large, comfortable rafts equipped with padded seats and backrests.
Lunch is held at Discovery Park, a boat-in only location along the river where you can purchase a variety of food catering to different dietary preferences, including vegan and gluten-free options. The park is a great spot for families to relax and play, with snacks, ice cream, and drinks — both non-alcoholic and alcoholic — available from the food truck. Remember to check with operators for trips outside the main season, as meal options and prices may vary.

I traveled alone but was grouped with a fun bunch of six individuals in their thirties. Our guide was excellent and really enhanced the experience. The snacks were tasty, and he even set up a table on a small rock island. In general, the trip was quite relaxing. If you're seeking intense whitewater, this isn't the right choice, but there was just enough to keep things engaging.
The afternoon was tranquil and offered a fresh experience. The guides were very supportive, and the highlight was the convenient pick-up at their ticket booth in downtown Ashland, with others collected from different hotels. They also dropped us off right at the same location.
I had a fantastic time on this trip and would happily do it again when I'm back in the area. The lunch stop was enjoyable and added to the fun of the experience.
Our river trip was a wonderful experience. The scenery was gorgeous and serene, yet it had its thrilling moments as well. Nate, our guide, was fantastic.
Logan, our guide, was both knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, making the experience enjoyable. I would definitely participate again if we come back. If our grandkids join us, I would consider tackling the upper Klamath with the class four rapids.
This trip is accurately described as an easy Class I & II experience. Our goal was to enjoy a relaxing float on the Rogue River and take in the stunning scenery. Steve, our guide, was exceptional; he skillfully navigated the raft and shared insights about the local wildlife, plants, and the valley's history. We had a fantastic time and plan to return with our family, potentially to tackle the more exhilarating rapids.
Logan was an excellent tour guide—fun, engaging, and very knowledgeable. Discovery Park was fantastic, offering plenty of activities and dining options. I appreciate the wonderful trip experience.
I was looking for a rafting adventure suitable for our whole family, which typically splits up on outings. This trip was ideal; the "rapids" were very mild, just some gentle waves. We were able to kayak alongside the raft for part of the journey with a special request, which was enjoyable for those seeking more activity. Discovery Park provided a lot of fun, with numerous bounce houses and slides over a warm, comfortable lake, and the kids had a blast. The food was acceptable as well. Our guides were friendly and relaxed, allowing us to extend our time at Discovery Park, letting us leave at 3:45 instead of 3, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
Noah’s Rogue River Family Float and Discovery Park was an ideal experience for us. The guides, Ben and Brad, were incredibly helpful with my partner's mobility challenges, allowing us both to fully enjoy the outing. The food at Discovery Park was tasty; we tried the salmon burger and the Asian chicken salad. We only wished we had more time at the park, but we appreciated the lovely view during lunch.
This is a wonderful way to unwind on the Rogue River, perfect for all ages and those who prefer a leisurely pace. There’s no paddling required, and the rafts even have backrests. The lunch stop at Discovery Park is enjoyable and comes at a great point during the journey. The staff, Caleb and Steve, were friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable.
