We had our second adventure with Orange Torpedoes, opting for the Full-day Hellgate Canyon tour again. Our experience was fantastic, especially for our kids aged 11, 13, and 15. Mike Slagle was our guide during the full day, and he excelled at leading our group while sharing insightful stories about local history and wildlife, including the captivating tale of Indian Mary Park. The time spent on the water passed quickly, blending thrilling rapids with safe swimming opportunities. Lunch and drinks were provided, maintaining all necessary safety and social distancing measures. Additionally, we enjoyed the Nugget Falls half-day trip guided by Nick, which was thrilling! This trip featured 4-category rapids, making it even more exciting than the 3-category rapids on Hellgate, and the kids declared it their favorite.
This was my first experience with rafting, and it turned out to be the best trip I've ever taken. Guides Derek and Micah were exceptional and highly skilled. The kids particularly enjoyed having Micah as their guide, while Derek engaged with the adults. Everyone had a fantastic time on the river. Both guides were well-organized, bringing along food and water, and even included hand sanitizer for lunch. We didn't have to stress about packing enough supplies. They also checked our temperatures and assisted us with our gear. If we have the opportunity to return, we will certainly choose Orange Torpedo Trips again.
I had a fantastic time. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and genuinely wanted to connect with everyone in the group. I went with two other women, but I'm eager to return to the river with my kids!
My wife and I had an amazing time navigating the Rogue River, especially the challenging rapids like Hellgate and Widowmaker. Our guide was excellent and ensured we fully enjoyed the experience. Staying overnight allowed us to appreciate nature, stargaze, relax in comfortable accommodations, and enjoy a hearty meal. We are eager to come back and conquer the lower Rogue.

I had a disappointing experience. Our tour guide was uncommunicative, and we had to prompt him for information. We waited over five hours without food, and the tour ran over an hour longer than planned. This was excessively pricey for the level of service and experience provided.
We went on a four-day camping trip with five fathers and our five twelve-year-old sons. It was an epic adventure. Words can't fully express our gratitude for this company and our guides, who were professional, experienced, kind, and attentive. We shared a unique experience and made unforgettable memories, especially thanks to our guides Becca, Hayden, and JP. Everything was excellent.
