Reviews
As a fan of Segway tours, I was excited to explore Annecy, but this experience was the most disappointing I’ve had. Although Annecy is a stunning town with a rich history, this 2-hour tour failed to highlight its beauty. The guide was uninspiring and offered very little commentary. A knowledgeable guide can enhance the experience significantly, but here, there was minimal effort to engage with us or share insights about the city's culture, cuisine, or past. During the first hour, we rode at a slow pace with scant narrative. After that hour, we awkwardly returned to the starting point to drop off the participants on the 1-hour tour, which disrupted the flow. In the second hour, we traveled along the river to a blue bridge where we stopped for five minutes. The guide mentioned there would be "nothing to say," setting a dull tone. We arrived at a spot littered with beer bottles and were told to take pictures. This part felt more like a leisurely walk than an active tour, lacking depth and engagement. At no point did we receive suggestions on local dining or specialties to try, such as tartiflette or reblochon, nor did we learn much about Annecy’s rich history. Another couple on the tour remarked on how superior the walking tour was, which provided historical context and valuable recommendations. I now understand their point. For those new to Segways, the 1-hour option might be enjoyable for its novelty. However, for returning riders or those wanting a deeper understanding of Annecy, the current 2-hour tour format is not worth the time or expense. Segway tours should be engaging and led by enthusiastic guides who love their cities, but sadly, this was not the case in a place that deserves so much more.
An excellent Segway experience with friends along the lakeside and in the old town. Zoe provided wonderful guidance. Thank you once again for everything.
The 2-hour segway tour was an excellent way to explore Annecy in a unique manner. Zoe was a fantastic guide, accompanying us throughout the ride.
Zoe brought so much energy to our day. We appreciate her great sense of humor, clear explanations, and excellent navigation skills. A guide like Zoe is truly special.
We had an excellent two-hour stroll around the lake and in the old town, thanks to @Zoe, who is an outstanding guide. His vibrant energy and sense of humor made the experience truly enjoyable. This is a must-do, but I recommend going with @Zoe specifically.
The lake area tour was enjoyable. However, since the group primarily consisted of French speakers, we had to wait for their discussions, and our skilled guide had to repeat her information in English. I would have preferred a monolingual group to make better use of our time. Additionally, I wished there was more time off the Segway during the two-hour tour.
The tour was excellent following our arrival in Annecy the previous afternoon during our road trip from the UK. We gained a lot of insights about Annecy and its surroundings.
This tour was fantastic! We participated in a two-hour experience as a family of four, which included a nervous mum, a hesitant 17-year-old daughter, and an enthusiastic 25-year-old son. We received excellent instruction at the beginning. The first hour was spent around the lake with great guidance and opportunities for photos while trying out maximum speed in a controlled way. The second hour took us through charming streets, squares, and churches. Everyone left with big smiles. I highly recommend this tour, and we had a wonderful guide.
We had an amazing segway tour in Annecy, which was our first experience with this mode of transport. The team at the agency was very professional and welcoming, providing clear explanations and safety instructions. Exploring Annecy was a breathtaking experience that went smoothly. Thanks to the entire team for a wonderful time.
The guides were friendly, and the tour offered interesting insights. However, the Segway's speed was limited to 10 km/h. While this makes sense in crowded areas, it would have been enjoyable to go faster on bike paths and quieter lanes. At times, it felt like we could have just walked instead.
