Route 66, often referred to as the "Main Street of America," stretches through Amarillo as a slice of American history. This iconic highway, established in 1926, offers a roadside experience filled with vintage motels, diners, and quirky attractions, all reflecting the era's charm and the spirit of road travel in the United States. The Cadillac Ranch, a public art installation featuring ten buried Cadillacs, and the Big Texan Steak Ranch, known for its 72-ounce steak challenge, are essential stops along the route. Early morning or late afternoon is ideal for exploration, with fewer crowds and better light for photos. The remnants of classic Americana make for intriguing snapshots along this storied highway.

Six-hour tour of Amarillo's landmarks, including Palo Duro Canyon, Cadillac Ranch, lunch in Canyon Square, and historic downtown sights.

Sal was our guide and he did an excellent job accommodating our needs. We loved being driven around Amarillo and visiting the city's top attractions in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. Sal was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour. He catered to our special requests and took us to a local favorite for lunch. We visited Cadillac Ranch, the RV Museum, The Legs, the canyon area, and Second Amendment Cowboy. The tour provided spray paint for the stops where it was needed, and the narrative on Amarillo's history was fantastic. A five-star experience!mrsnite on the Palo Duro Canyon and Route 66 day trip from Amarillo tour
