Cara was friendly and genuinely tried to make the tour enjoyable, but it fell short. While the food options were great with generous portions, that's the only positive aspect. There was a lack of insight into the area's art and history, making it feel more like a shopping and dining excursion. Overall, I was quite disappointed given the cost.
This tour offered an incredible exploration of the art and distinctiveness of Albuquerque that I wouldn't have discovered alone. The pace was perfect, allowing time for snacks or drinks — I highly recommend it.
We wanted to experience the food and culture of old town Albuquerque after visiting nearby museums, so we booked this tour. Our guide was amusing, considerate, and attentive to our needs. She took us around, introducing us to interesting shops and providing an abundance of food that I couldn't finish! I particularly enjoyed tasting the red and green chile, with the posolè being my favorite. I also seized the chance to buy unique gifts for the upcoming holidays. Although it wasn’t a ghost tour, we still heard plenty of local spooky stories. It was a charming way to spend the afternoon, and we left feeling satisfied and happy.
The tour featured a lot of spiciness, but there were limited food and wine tastings, making it hard to justify the price. I’ve experienced other tours that provided a better variety of local food samples. At the local restaurant, the frito pie didn’t include beef because they mentioned they were busy, even though we had some beef in a small sample of the green chili stew.
This experience fell short of expectations. The guide was friendly but lacked experience, which she acknowledged. Although the food tasted good, it was overly spicy, insufficient, and took a long time to serve. We expected an art, culture, and food tour, not ghost stories. Overall, the value for the price paid was disappointing.
