Our experience was outstanding. Even though we hold a boat license, we were grateful to have a captain for our trip. Many caves appear alike from the sea, but Philip, our captain, expertly identified the unique and safe ones to explore. He was calm, friendly, and highly skilled, providing us with all necessary information while leading us to the most stunning caves. His extensive knowledge of the region made the outing genuinely remarkable.
The trip was enjoyable and easy to navigate, as finding the boat was straightforward and the ticket staff were welcoming. The vessel was well-kept and not too crowded. Our captain, Nico, demonstrated his expertise by skillfully maneuvering the boat into narrow caves. We visited the shipwreck and had the chance to swim at three different locations. Bringing our own snorkels proved to be a great choice. The scenery was stunning, and we returned to port around 2 PM. However, it turned out to be more of a party boat than we anticipated, and there was a lack of informative details about the area. I would have appreciated more insights regarding the shipwreck.
This tour is definitely worthwhile, offering fantastic locations and a good captain. The barge does have a slight diesel smell and the music can be a bit loud. It's important to note that it's a self-catering experience, as there are no amenities on board. The tour lasts around 3 hours, and the swimming stops are for 2 sessions of 20 minutes and 1 session of 40 minutes. The water is crystal clear, making it an absolute recommendation.
We arranged a private tour with a group of nine friends. It was an excellent experience with amazing locations and a friendly, professional driver named Tasos.
This trip was breathtaking, featuring wonderful swim locations. The crystal-clear turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches were truly amazing.
Excellent experience with great value. We enjoyed beautiful views and had the chance to swim in the sea. Opting for the 11am slot meant the shipwreck was not overly crowded.
An incredible journey through and within the caves. The captain demonstrated remarkable skill in maneuvering the boat in the tight spaces of the caves, even navigating just below the roof.
I booked the 11am tour but was informed due to poor sea conditions, it would be better to switch to the 12pm trip, which was fine since we enjoyed time at Porto Vromi beach. They were right about the conditions; the ride to Navagio beach was rocky, but it was a beautiful day overall. The check-in was efficient, and the crew on board was friendly and accommodating. There were 40 of us on a boat that fits 42, a good size for comfort. We got close to the shipwreck beach, and the captain, Yanniis, turned the boat to give everyone a great view. After visiting Navagio, we explored some sea caves, but I began to feel seasick. It got so bad that I struggled to hold it in until we reached Ag. Ioannis island for a swim. Captain Yanniis checked on us and offered a small boat to take me back to shore, which I didn't expect and greatly appreciated. Within ten minutes, I was back at Porto Vromi beach, thanks to him. The staff there were also kind and offered help for my seasickness without any extra charge. I am genuinely grateful to Porto Vromi Maries Cruises & Fun for their care, which reinforces my belief that the Greek people are incredibly kind and genuine. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour operator to anyone.
This tour was fantastic. The water was crystal clear, and we explored many stunning caves en route to the shipwreck. The schedule was adjusted the night before to ensure sunny weather and calm winds. We had two swim stops—though I suspected there were only two instead of three due to some choppy conditions in certain areas. However, we spent a considerable amount of time at each stop, likely to make up for it. Our guide was friendly, though their English was limited, which was understandable in Greece. The boat had a glass bottom, and our first stop was at a white sand beach, followed by a small cove where only snorkel goggles were provided. It was beautiful and a lot of fun; I highly recommend it. There's a tip jar on the boat; I suggest bringing cash. Although tipping wasn’t mentioned, I felt guilty enjoying such a great experience without rewarding the guide (I didn’t have cash on me).
The tour lasted over three hours and took us to the shipwreck beach and blue caves. We had ample chances to explore, take photos, and swim at two different locations for about 50 minutes in total. The sea was calm during our visit, although the water was quite chilly in April. It was a delightful experience overall.
