The tour was excellent and very informative! Our guide provided us with valuable insights into the region, including detailed information about its history and social dynamics.
This tour far surpassed my expectations. I gained valuable insights into the indigenous peoples of the Northwest Territories, a topic often overlooked in my earlier education in Alberta. Yellowknife has transformed from the small town I visited over 40 years ago into a vibrant city that is home to more than half of the NWT's population, featuring thoughtfully designed government buildings that respect indigenous history and culture. The museum is impressive and memorable. Climbing the 88 steps up "The Rock," which offers stunning views of Yellowknife and Great Slave Lake, was a highlight, even if the weather was a bit harsh. Our guide, Verda, made the experience truly enjoyable. If you haven't visited Yellowknife or haven't been there for a long time, I highly recommend this tour.
The tour with Angus was highly enjoyable. I gained a great deal of knowledge about the city and the Northwest Territory. Each stop was unique, fascinating, and truly worthwhile.
The 4-hour tour was fantastic, guided by Angus. We visited all the key attractions on my list, including the Welcome Sign, Ice Road, Snowkings' Castle, Bush Pilot Monument, Legislative Assembly, Bristol Monument, Nature's North Wildlife Gallery, Old Town, downtown, and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre and Visitors Centre. The tour provided a solid overview of Yellowknife. Be sure to have a substantial breakfast before starting the tour.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the outstanding services during my Aurora trip. Your commitment and meticulous attention to detail made my experience truly memorable. I am thankful for the hard work of the fantastic teams to ensure everything ran seamlessly. Thank you for exceeding my expectations. Additionally, I was impressed by the incredible artists who created such stunning animal sculptures in the gallery. The artwork was exceptional.
An incredible experience to gain a deeper understanding of Yellowknife that you simply couldn't achieve on your own. Verda was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and locations, and she provided valuable insights into the local culture. Worth every penny and minute spent!
Angus, our guide, took us on a fascinating tour that included the Bush Pilots Monument, Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly, and Nature's North Wildlife Gallery, which showcased a variety of taxidermy animals and included insights into the taxidermy process. We received a certificate from the Yellowknife Visitor Centre, and ended our day with lunch at a local restaurant.
The city tour is included in the 4-day Aurora package and is excellently arranged, featuring popular attractions and a visit to the wildlife museum. Each site was given enough time and information to enhance understanding of the Northwest area. Yellow Knife travel’s team executed all activities in this package effectively, demonstrating friendliness and preparedness. Plus, there are no additional fees for the included services. Very well done.
The tour was outstanding, and our guide, Gendi, offered fantastic insights into every site we visited. She even helped us secure dinner reservations. The visitor's center presented us with a certificate and a local pin, plus great restaurant suggestions. Be sure to check out the northern wildlife museum; the taxidermy demonstration was impressive and unforgettable.
The tour was conducted in both Mandarin Chinese and English, allowing for a broad range of insights. We visited impressive highlights in Yellowknife, such as the Pilots Monument, Old Town, and the ice road, all of which were fascinating. The wildlife gallery showcased local animals and provided an interesting look into taxonomy. Our guide, Felix, was excellent. I highly recommend this tour.
