This experience was simply incredible. Kelly and her team are exceptional. We were picked up at our Airbnb and embarked on an unforgettable adventure. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the joyful barks of excited dogs. Kelly explained the process, and we had the option to wait outside for our turn on the sled or cozy up inside the warm tent. We were the first to ride, and as soon as we were seated, the dogs took off, showing their enthusiasm and expertise. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, and the video captured at the end is an amazing keepsake. I can't recommend this enough; you must try it, especially with this family-run operation, as it's a memorable way to enjoy the activity.
This was an incredible experience that went above and beyond what I anticipated.
On the day we had our reservation, the temperature dropped to minus 40 degrees F, prompting the operator to cancel our ride, which I completely support. It wouldn’t have been enjoyable for the dogs, the rider, or the staff. We received our refund, and if we return to Yellowknife, I would definitely rebook with them.
This is a unique opportunity to experience dogsledding with people who are genuinely passionate about it. If you visit during the winter, be sure to take advantage of this incredible adventure.
The dog sledding experience was enjoyable, especially on such a beautiful day. Although my skin felt a bit cold during the run, it was manageable to warm up afterward. The dogs were eager to work, and the North of 60 team provided excellent knowledge and assistance throughout the tour.
Dress in your warmest attire and get ready for a quick ride. It was enjoyable to step into a cozy hut for some hot beverages and bannock.
Dog sledding with North of 60 was an excellent experience. They prioritize guest comfort, and it can be quite chilly during the ride, so dressing appropriately is essential. We had a wonderful time and met great fellow participants. The groups are small, offering a more personal touch, and there are refreshments available while you wait, along with some charming non-sled dogs to keep you company. The location is beautiful, providing an authentic experience.
The dog sledding experience was fantastic. The team was incredibly friendly and took excellent care of us. I highly recommend trying this adventure.
The experience was fantastic, with a great host. We enjoyed some delicious hot chocolate and bread, and the kennel was well-maintained. I highly recommend this activity.
It met all our expectations and more. The guide was very communicative, starting a bit later but always reachable by phone, which eased my concerns. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by friendly dogs, well cared for by the company, which only allows them to run twice before switching them out. With just three guests per ride, the others stayed in a cozy winter tent enjoying homemade bread made from the owner's grandmother's recipe. This family has a long-standing presence in the NWT and shared great stories. When it was our turn, we climbed into a sleigh with blankets and enjoyed the ride, while the owner snapped photos from a snowmobile. After returning, we even tried axe throwing, and I discovered I'm not very good at it. I can't recommend this experience highly enough.
