Three hours in a cozy cabin, small group setting — includes midnight snack, hot drinks, and local stories while waiting for the aurora.
This three-hour tour focuses on the enchanting Northern Lights from a warm cabin in Yellowknife. You'll be greeted with local tales as you enjoy a light midnight lunch featuring hot bannock and fish chowder, along with coffee and a selection of teas. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages, like champagne, to toast under the aurora.
Small groups keep the atmosphere intimate, with props available for memorable photos in fun Northern clothing. The cabin can also be booked privately for groups wanting exclusive use, but be aware that there is a minimum requirement of five guests for the tour to operate.

The city tour with Tracy was a wonderful way to kick off our trip. As the owner, Tracy's deep knowledge of Yellowknife was evident, and her passion for the town shone through. She shared captivating stories that brought the area's history to life, making the experience feel personal rather than just a typical tour. From the beginning, she welcomed us warmly, and I’m grateful we got to explore the city through her perspective.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour over two nights, and on the second night, I was fortunate enough to see Lady Aurora for a brief time. The cabin was cozy, complete with fresh soup and bannock bread, and there were plenty of board games to enjoy with the group.
This was a fantastic experience! Upon reaching the cabin, we were treated to a stunning display of the Northern Lights. Our guide, Yumi, was friendly and efficient, capturing beautiful family photos. The dinner was delightful, with warm, freshly made bread served with butter and jelly that was quite tasty. The tour is definitely worth it, as the cabin was cozy and provided jackets and leather hats for memorable pictures against the breathtaking Aurora Boreal backdrop.
The aurora tour in Yellowknife was truly unforgettable. From beginning to end, it was an amazing experience. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to helping everyone witness the Northern Lights. We traveled to a charming cabin away from urban lights, adding a sense of magic and tranquility to the night. While waiting for the aurora, we enjoyed warm, homemade soup and fresh bannock—some of the best comfort food I’ve ever tasted. Sitting by the woodstove, sharing stories with fellow travelers, and even playing cards made the evening feel special. When the lights finally appeared, they were vibrant and danced across the sky. The guides assisted with photography and ensured everyone was able to appreciate the moment fully. If you’re considering a trip to see the Northern Lights in Yellowknife, this tour is a must. With its cozy cabin, delicious food, friendly people, and stunning aurora, it was a night I will always cherish.
We received a warm and friendly reception. Tracy was not only kind but also very knowledgeable about the area, sharing numerous interesting anecdotes with us.
This experience is truly exceptional, with outstanding attention and service from the guides, a Korean woman and an Arab man. They were very attentive, the dinner was great, and the auroras were indescribable. This is a must-do activity in your lifetime.
We had a wonderful time on this interactive night tour. The cozy cabin atmosphere and the fantastic company made it even better. And the aurora was the perfect finishing touch, along with the Bannock.
There's no need to chase the aurora with this fixed setup. The hospitality is incredible, and the local guide is genuine, providing a comfortable experience in a cozy cabin, complete with deck chairs and an outdoor fire pit. Witnessing the northern lights this way is truly relaxing. It far surpassed the two bus tours we experienced. Highly recommend this option. Cesar was fantastic and captured wonderful photos. Tracy, the owner, is a remarkable person—a true gem. The best part was connecting with a local and enjoying the aurora from a single spot instead of pursuing it.
We enjoyed a fantastic two-night stay at the cozy cabin. The experience was truly unique and wonderful. Relaxing by the fireplace while waiting for the northern lights, bundled up in cozy coats, and savoring a tasty midnight meal added to the charm. Tracy was an excellent host who made us feel at home. Her extensive knowledge about Yellowknife and the great restaurant recommendations significantly enhanced our trip. Although we stayed for just three days, we plan to return and book more tours with Tracy.
We enjoyed a fantastic night at the cozy cabin. Tracy and her team were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. They frequently checked for the northern lights and kept us informed, which we found very helpful. We highly recommend this place if you want a great experience watching the aurora.
