Sledding with such adorable and friendly dogs was a wonderful experience. It's a must-try with Winter and her team, who were enjoyable, kind, and supportive throughout our dog sledding adventure.
I experienced a dogsled demonstration in Alaska, but here you actually get to ride in the sled, which is a lot of fun! It's not a long ride, but just the right length, and I suggest wearing a good hat and sunglasses. As dog lovers and owners, we can attest that the care for the dogs is completely humane and they are well looked after.
Sledding around Kam Lake was an incredible experience. The dogs were friendly, well-trained, and enthusiastic about pulling the sled. The log cabin provided a cozy atmosphere where we savored bannock and warm drinks while hearing Winter’s father's tales of trapping and hunting. The entire adventure felt wonderfully relaxing.
Visiting Yellowknife and experiencing this attraction is essential. I was truly amazed by the stunning city views, beautiful landscapes, and the Aurora Borealis. It was a wonderful experience.
I had an amazing day dogsledding in Yellowknife. Kelly collected us from our hotel and brought us to the site. She was very warm and open to our inquiries. The dog sled ride was a blast, and afterwards, we savored hot chocolate with her homemade Bannick. It was a lovely and engaging way to spend the afternoon.
This is a must-experience activity when in Yellowknife! The dog drivers and their friendly dogs are fantastic. I will treasure this unforgettable moment for a long time.
Meeting the family behind this business and their dogs was a truly enjoyable experience. Their dedication to the dogs' welfare was evident, prioritizing their safety in all tour decisions. I visited during unusually warm weather, which led to adjustments in our route and the number of dogs pulling the sled, ensuring less strain on them. I appreciated their readiness to cancel tours if conditions weren’t safe. It was reassuring to see how well these dogs were treated. After the ride, I loved sharing stories about hunting and trapping over some bannock and hot chocolate. The dogs were exceptionally friendly and clearly enjoy their work as well as the attention from visitors.
This is an essential experience when visiting Yellowknife. The family-owned business is incredibly welcoming, and you can clearly see that their dogs are well-loved and happy.
This is an enjoyable and secure experience for the entire family. The dogs are gentle, and the staff is approachable and friendly. However, we were concerned about the dogs' welfare; when we inquired about their weight and health, the responses seemed evasive. The dogs appeared somewhat underweight to us.
The experience included a 20-minute sled ride and observing the harnessing process, but there wasn't much interaction with the dogs. We did get to cuddle some puppies, which was nice.
