Our guide Jiho (Joe) was fantastic. Being a local, he truly understands the Aurora and drove us to several great viewing spots. He captured photos for us and shared fascinating insights about the area's history. Despite the cold, it was a wonderful evening, made even better with hot chocolate and maple cookies.
This experience transformed my life. The night spent seeking the Aurora with Saige and Joe was truly spectacular. Despite the cold, the lights were absolutely worth it. I especially appreciate Saige for the lovely song. It was a memorable evening. The photos were an additional wonderful surprise. I'm eager to join North Star Adventure for another Aurora hunt in the future.
The guidance provided was exceptional while visiting the best spots to see the Aurora over a duration of four hours. With a small group of 10 and temperatures at -27 degrees, the warm bus was a relief, and the hot chocolate was a nice touch. Nature delivered an incredible display, with the Aurora showcasing not only greens but also stunning shades of pink and purple. The children also enjoyed the night sky filled with stars. I highly recommend this tour.
This was an excellent tour. Our guides, a grandfather and his grandson, were both indigenous and locals, and they created the Aurora Hunting experience. They were not only entertaining but also very kind. The tour was fantastic, with a 98% success rate for seeing the Auroras. We enjoyed a stunning sky early on and later witnessed another impressive display. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we returned at a reasonable time.
This tour exceeded our expectations so much that we participated twice. We also tried another tour, but it didn't compare. Northstar excelled at locating the Aurora; when the lights dimmed, they moved us higher to another spot where they sparkled brilliantly. They provided a warming hut during part of the tour, and a guide even made us fry bread. There were chairs available for viewing, and they took photos of us to capture the experience. If you're searching for an Aurora hunt, this is the company to choose.
Northern Star Adventures stood out to us for multiple reasons, including being indigenous owned and highly rated, and they certainly lived up to our expectations. We enjoyed two nights of Aurora hunting along with a dogsledding experience, both of which were incredibly enjoyable. Plus, we were treated to hot chocolate after each activity. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in seeing the northern lights.
On March 9, 2026, we took part in the Aurora Hunting tour. The young assistant was friendly and very helpful, which made our experience wonderful. We are thankful for the beautiful photos she captured for us.
Fantastic experience! Our guide Sage was friendly and full of energy. We were fortunate enough to spot a wolf on the road and observed it for a while. The views of the Aurora were incredible.
This was an outstanding experience. Our guide, Saige, was friendly, informed, and easy to talk to. She brought great energy, pride in her culture, and enthusiasm to the tour. Along with our driver, Rose Ann, they ensured our time was enjoyable and engaging while we patiently awaited the Aurora.
We enjoyed an amazing evening during our Aurora hunt. The clear sky and active Aurora made for a perfect experience. Guides Rose Ann and Cashis were friendly and knowledgeable, adding great value to our night. We especially loved Cash’s enthusiasm and his skill in capturing photos of us with the Aurora backdrop. I would certainly book this again and recommend North Star Adventures.
