We traveled from Orlando to Cocoa Beach and found the surf school right by the main beach entrance. Franky, the owner, was fantastic—friendly, patient, professional, and a lot of fun. We began with some warm-up stretches on the beach, followed by technique instruction, and then it was time to hit the water. Franky guided us through each wave, teaching us what to watch for and when to stand up for the best ride. A photographer was also present to capture our session, with no pressure to buy the photos, and she was very pleasant. You can rent boards for the day to keep practicing too. My partner caught on quickly, while I took a bit longer, but Franky was incredibly patient and supportive, which I really appreciated. Overall, we highly recommend this experience, especially Franky and his surf school, as he is loaded with knowledge and has global experience. Thank you for an excellent day!
Franky offers very competitive pricing and quickly arranged a surfing lesson for us in the same week we requested. It was our first time surfing, and Franky along with his instructors ensured we both managed to stand up and ride our first waves. The experience was fantastic overall, and they also provide photos and videos of your surfing for an additional cost. While the camera quality isn't top-tier, having those memories is invaluable. I would definitely return for another lesson. I highly suggest taking the two-hour session, as it offers ample time for the onshore instruction and actual surfing.
My two daughters, aged 8 and 15, took their first surfing lesson with Franky a few days ago. They were riding waves in under an hour! Franky is an excellent instructor, and they enjoyed it so much, they decided to have another lesson this morning with Carrie, who was also fantastic.
Franky and Brian were fantastic! They made our initial surfing adventure enjoyable, easy, and hassle-free. Remember to bring sunscreen and aloe; you might get a bit of a rash from the board, but it's completely worth it!
