The driving app offered a lot of valuable information, but we faced multiple misdirections due to closed roads. The long, winding route was complicated by roadblocks and closures without detour signs, forcing us to retrace our steps and listen to the same commentary repeatedly, which was quite frustrating. Additionally, the Moore house was locked and inaccessible. Although the app's narration was helpful, it clearly requires further improvement.
The map experienced some lag, causing us to retrace our steps occasionally, but it still provided a wonderful opportunity to appreciate and learn about the area on a day with high temperatures.
The tour repeatedly directed us incorrectly. The map disappeared as soon as it provided instructions, leading us from stop number 4 directly to the final stop. We had to backtrack because we wasted so much time and could not access most of the stops, which were behind closed sections. Additionally, the app would randomly restart, making the experience frustrating. What could have been a straightforward app turned into a major headache, ultimately feeling like a waste of money.
This was an excellent tour filled with fascinating information and stories that are often overlooked in the buildings or history books. The guide was considerate and ensured we stayed in the shade during the hot weather. We would definitely recommend this tour.
The experience was highly informative. There were chances to either exit the vehicle for exploration or remain inside and enjoy the drive. I appreciated all the information provided, but the drive through the forest was my favorite part.
The driving tour of Yorktown Battlefield is outstanding, featuring optional but strongly recommended short guided walks that enhance the historical experience.
The storytelling was engaging and effectively brought the battlefield to life. However, an event was taking place, which complicated navigation through the app due to numerous closed streets. I ultimately had to give up the map entirely.
The tour was quite informative, but it was disappointing that Yorktown didn't update their app or website about the closure of the visitor center, resulting in restricted access to the tour roads.
Avoid booking during a government shutdown. All roads were closed for this tour, and it was very disappointing. They should have informed me prior to purchasing.
The audio for our driving tour was fantastic. It made navigation simple and provided a wealth of information, truly bringing history to life. It was particularly worthwhile on a cold day when exploring the larger area wasn't appealing.
