This private guided tour offers an in-depth look at the Jamestown Settlement, the oldest permanent English colony in the USA. Spend three to four hours with your group exploring replicas of the ships that arrived in 1607, a re-creation of the Paspahegh town, and the James Fort as it stood from 1610 to 1614. You'll also visit the museum, which features significant artifacts and replicas of 17th-century homes.
For an additional fee, you can opt to tour Historic Jamestowne, the actual site of the Jamestown Fort, which includes the NPS Visitor Center and views of the James River and the 104-foot Tercentennial Monument installed in 1907. The tour can be customized for handicapped guests, with state park scooters available on a first-come, first-served basis, and wheelchairs available with prior notice.

Our guide, Barbie, picked us up at the lodge and immediately started the tour as we got into her vehicle. Her extensive knowledge of the area was impressive. At the Jamestown museum, she guided us through the highlights and engaged with the actors in ways that resonated with me as a teacher. I had the opportunity to hold a musket and explore aspects that I might not have ventured into alone. Overall, it was a fantastic day!
Our tour of Jamestown Settlement with Bambi was excellent. She was both knowledgeable and entertaining. Traveling with our 97-year-old mom required some sensitivity, and Bambi provided just that. She even brought additional drinks and snacks. Her expertise and willingness to go above and beyond made the experience truly special.
Bambi failed to show up or make contact, and customer service couldn't reach her either. After two hours, while we explored Jamestown on our own, she called with excuses about her assistant being supposed to call. She mentioned it was shut down by the government, which wasn't true. This was a significant disruption to our day, especially with my 87-year-old mom with me.
