The transfer from our cruise ship to the airport was ideal. Even though there were delays in departing due to a car accident near the port, the team worked quickly to get everyone on board. As a result of the delays, they took those with earlier flights directly to the airport first and then continued the excursion for the rest of us.
Daniel picked us up at the terminal and handled our luggage effortlessly. He provided a brief tour of Whittier, sharing insights about the town's history. On our journey to Anchorage, he explained the historical significance of the area, the tunnel, and notable landmarks, stopping for several photo opportunities along the way. At the Alaskan Native Heritage Center, Daniel assisted us with check-in and asked for our preferred pick-up time, assuring us he would be nearby and available for any requests. We enjoyed our visit to the heritage center and learned a great deal. While exploring the grounds, a young employee invited us inside due to a bear sighting, and Daniel captured a video of the bear for us. This excursion was truly excellent; we are delighted we participated and appreciated our time with Daniel.
The experience was both relaxing and informative. Daniel provided excellent explanations of the viewpoints throughout the journey. The heritage center was fascinating, and I gained a lot of knowledge there.
I highly recommend this trip from Whittier to Anchorage after a cruise. Our driver Daniel was punctual and polite. The views during the journey were stunning, and the Alaska Heritage Center was quite fascinating.
Our tour guide Will on bus 103 was very knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring everyone's comfort throughout the journey. It was such a positive experience.
The journey from Whittier to Anchorage is stunning. Our guide, Will, was not only an exceptional driver but also a treasure trove of knowledge regarding the region's geography and history. The Alaska Native Heritage Center was a fantastic part of our Alaska trip, exploring the history of native Alaskans with exhibits showcasing traditional and contemporary clothing and tools. The outdoor area featured totems and various home styles, along with a significant exhibit on the regrettable history of Indian boarding schools. I strongly recommend this tour.
