When my train ride from Whitehorse to Skagway was cancelled in 2022, I sought alternative transportation and found the Skagway Explorer tour by Epic North. This journey included fascinating stops like Emerald Lake, Forty Mile Rapids, and Carcross Desert. The owner was very responsive via email and arranged to pick me up midway through the tour to return me to Whitehorse. I truly appreciate Yuya for being an excellent driver and tour guide; he was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible. Thank you for helping me get back to Canada!
We had a wonderful experience with this service. Our driver Yuya was friendly and knowledgeable, making the trip from Whitehorse to Skagway enjoyable. We even made a stop at the “Welcome to Alaska” sign. I highly recommend using Epic North’s shuttle service.
The weather was nice, but the trip lacked proper pre-planning and we were unclear on our stops and their durations. The guide was patient and knowledgeable, yet provided little information about the journey itself. With a drive that stretched long for a 10-hour day, we only had a brief hour in Skagway. Overall, I found the trip to be overpriced.
