Our trip to Whitehorse with Arctic Range Adventure was incredible. I am extremely grateful for such a wonderful experience. This tour company is remarkable—helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The office staff were friendly and patient, and the guides spoke multiple languages. Every detail of the program was flawlessly organized, from airport pickup to drop-off. We thoroughly enjoyed Dog Sledding, Snowmobiling, Wildlife viewing, Hot Springs, Aurora Viewing, and a Sightseeing flight over five days. They are truly exceptional, and I highly recommend this experience to everyone.
Keep in mind that two out of five days are dedicated to travel. However, the three remaining days are packed with activities. I loved visiting the animal preserve, experiencing dog sledding, snowmobiling, soaking in the hot springs, and going on the plane ride. Although the Aurora wasn't as bright, waiting at the camp for it was a valuable experience. The toasted marshmallows and hot chocolate were just what I needed.
One of my best trips! I participated in several tours, including dog sledding, a five-night search for the Northern Lights, a scenic flight, snowmobiling, visiting a nature reserve, and enjoying hot springs. All of these experiences are highly recommended; everyone should try them at least once in their lifetime. The facilities and equipment are comfortable and inviting, and the tepees are lovely. Service was excellent, with guides Horacio and Leo being very professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and always maintaining a positive attitude.
My family and I had an incredible experience with Arctic Range Adventures. Although we encountered some challenges, their team resolved everything perfectly, and the guides were extremely professional.
We participated in the Active Winter Heartbeat adventure for a week, and it was absolutely wonderful. The itinerary included a scenic flight over Whitehorse, a welcoming tour, a visit to a wildlife preserve, dog sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and ice fishing. Additionally, we opted for a trip to Kluane National Park and enjoyed three nights of aurora viewing. Every activity was exceptionally well-coordinated with timely pickups. We were pleased with our accommodations at the Raven Inn. Each experience was remarkable and will remain unforgettable. The standout element was the extraordinary quality of the guides, who were enthusiastic, friendly, and seasoned outdoors enthusiasts. My daughter and I regard our time in Yukon as a life-changing experience and look forward to returning in the future.
This company demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, leaving us at a hotel with no access to food while most nearby options were closed. The guide showed no concern and simply drove away without offering to take us to a restaurant, forcing us to get food from McDonald's via taxi. The tours we experienced the following day were satisfactory, but after the hot springs tour, an Asian guide communicated in broken English that we couldn't join the Aurora tour due to some guests coughing. They had no clear policy regarding this situation. Our group included healthcare professionals, and we had negative Covid tests if needed. With no restrictions in Canada, it was unacceptable that they removed us from the tour we had paid for, offering neither a refund nor alternative options. We ultimately found that relying on taxis was a more effective solution for the rest of our trip. I would advise seeking another provider, as it's difficult to conceive of a worse experience.
My husband and I just got back from our Yukon adventure and it was fantastic! The daytime activities were enjoyable, educational, and sometimes quite physically challenging. The guides were excellent in their teaching and genuinely cared about our well-being. For example, my husband was experiencing back pain, so the guides wisely suggested we take a ride instead of driving the dog sleds ourselves. We are truly grateful to all the guides, including the gentleman who ensured our rented gear fit perfectly. And we were fortunate enough to witness the stunning Aurora Borealis! We know it’s not something anyone can control, but we felt incredibly lucky. Thank you for everything!
The scenery in this area is stunning and the guides were fantastic. However, this five-day tour only included three days of activities, making the tour's title misleading. The biggest issue arose when our dogsledding trip was scheduled an hour earlier than what was stated in our itinerary. I even confirmed the pick-up time with a guide the night before. The company claimed they couldn't reach me because they lacked my contact details, despite my phone number being clearly listed on my contract and waivers. While they did offer a gift card for dinner, I still traveled over 2,000 miles with the hope of going dogsledding.
I really enjoyed this experience. It includes all activities in one package, and the hot spa is essential. I rated it 4 stars because some guides spoke Japanese with minimal English, though they did try their best. The city sightseeing portion felt unnecessary since it's easily done on your own. There was also a lot of free time with not much to fill it, but you can easily go back on the fourth day.
This was an incredible tour. The guides were very courteous, and we experienced the Aurora multiple times from the private heated observation tents just outside of town. During the day, we enjoyed dogsledding, sightseeing, and exploring the lovely downtown Whitehorse. Why choose any other place?
