It was quite enjoyable. I would have preferred it to be offered in Spanish. It turned out to be more bloody and gory than I anticipated. While I appreciate that, it may be a bit too much for younger children.
The tour was incredibly enjoyable and lengthy, covering approximately two miles. It explored the Headless Horseman lore, including the old bridge and the graveyard where he is supposedly buried. It was genuinely a creepy experience. By the end, I was exhausted and opted for an Uber from the final stop, as the route is more linear than circular.
The music hall we were meant to visit was closed to the public, and another site was unavailable due to an event. The guidance offered was minimal, leaving us without proper direction. I won't be buying another self-guided tour in the future.
I did not get a confirmation email with the link to begin the self-guided walking tour. I had to call customer service, who then sent me the link. Despite multiple attempts to input the excessive information required, we still couldn’t start the tour. This experience feels completely ridiculous and seems like a scam.
The walking tour was enjoyable and informative once I figured out how to access the information. It takes about an hour and a half to complete if you listen to the audio at each stop. However, I was disappointed to find that I expected to receive headphones from a staff member at the provided location, but there was no one there who could assist. After reviewing my confirmation details, I found a help link that directed me to a chat feature, where I had to fill out several details before gaining access to the tour's audio and locations. It's advisable to bring your own EarPods. If you are part of a small group of two, it’s possible to buy just one ticket and listen together through the speaker.
This tour was incredibly intense and definitely lived up to my love for dark history. I've experienced other audio tours that toned things down, but this one was refreshingly graphic. I appreciated not having to download another useless app.

This is a scam. Avoid booking this. I went to the Tarrytown Music Hall and the staff told me no such tour exists. It puts them in an uncomfortable position to have to tell people about it.

Due to the crowds, we opted for the audio tour by car, which was ideal. It provided a fantastic way to learn about and appreciate the area while navigating through town, even in traffic.
