What a wonderful experience! Our guide Sandy was excellent—she provided a lot of information and was very personable. I highly recommend this tour.
We took a one-day tour with Sunny during a foggy September morning in Yellowstone. Sunny expertly guided us through the mists while we spotted elk, bison, and bears. As the day progressed, the clouds cleared to reveal a beautiful blue sky, complementing the vibrant colors of the thermal pools filled with extremophile bacteria. Throughout the day, Sunny was knowledgeable, engaging, and entertaining. The open-air tour van enhanced our experience in the park. It was an amazing way to explore one of the most unique places on Earth, and I highly recommend it.
This tour emphasized geysers and various attractions, which were stunning. Additionally, we got to see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone's lower falls. It was a wonderful experience.
It would have been better if the viewing conditions were improved. I was seated at the back with smaller windows, making it difficult to see. When the guide pointed out sights, I often couldn’t see over the heads in front of me. I was very disappointed, especially considering the high cost of the tour relative to the limited visibility.
This was our first trip to Montana, and we wanted to experience Yellowstone. With a tight schedule for the weekend, we decided a tour would be ideal. I highly recommend this tour. The operator confirmed our pick-up the day before, and we were collected promptly from our hotel in West Yellowstone. Our guide, Sandy, was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing a wealth of information about the park's history and the sites we visited. The tour van had priority access to major sites and a designated parking spot, which saved us a lot of time, especially when the lots were full. We managed to see all the main attractions like Old Faithful, Artist Point, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, as well as plenty of wildlife along the way. Sandy knew the best spots for wildlife viewing that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. We visited at the end of September, and while the morning was chilly, by noon the weather warmed up perfectly for us to open the van's glass top and sides, creating a convertible-like experience which was fantastic for photos and fresh air. Sandy provided water, soda, and snacks, so there was no need to bring anything. Just sign up and enjoy! At the end, Sandy gave us excellent dining recommendations, adding even more value to the experience. Thank you, Sandy, for a memorable experience.
This group is highly disorganized; they do not respond to phone calls or provide confirmation. After I left messages, they falsely claimed to Viator that they showed up when they did not. They ruined my Yellowstone trip, and I am shocked that Viator would support such an unreliable organization. They exploit senior citizens and refuse to address issues, instead opting to protect themselves with lies. While I waited, I couldn't get through to them, and when I called Viator for help, they faced the same problem. It's astonishing that a group like this exists in the U.S. Be cautious of their lack of concern for clients.
The tour was enjoyable overall, but we missed seeing the Grand Prismatic Spring. We had a long day with our guide Dave, who picked us up in a Mercedes Bus perfect for photographers. We explored many sights on the lower loop, yet not visiting the Grand Prismatic Spring was disappointing. When we inquired about the omission, we were told there wasn’t enough time and to discuss it with the boss. I understand it's a busy season, but the Spring is a significant highlight that should be included, especially since it's advertised. For the $600 we paid, we expected to see all key sights on the route. Future guests deserve to see everything included in the tour description, so if time is a constraint, this should be reflected in the offerings.
My wife arranged this tour through the website, and my credit card was charged over $1000. We received instructions for a 7 am meeting time and traveled over an hour through a snowstorm to the pickup location. We arrived early at 6:45 and waited until 10 minutes past the scheduled time before calling various numbers for the tour operator. Eventually, someone informed us that they only offer summer tours and didn't understand how we managed to book it. With no tour available, I fortuitously found another company with just four seats left on a snow coach for my group, but we needed five. I ended up riding in the cab with the operator for all 12 hours while my family was together. While they enjoyed the experience, I had to pay another $1400, which was more than the original tour cost. I felt my vacation was at stake, and if not for my quick thinking and the kindness of another company, we wouldn’t have been able to see Yellowstone in the winter, the main reason we traveled from New Jersey.
This was an excellent small group tour that allowed us to see all the key highlights. Visiting in May helped us avoid the crowds, which was a definite plus. The van was comfy, and the windows provided great visibility. Although the roof could open, we chose not to because of the wind, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Ken was an outstanding guide. However, the lunch was a bit confusing; we expected a deli sandwich and fresh fruit, but instead, we selected a sandwich from the hotel snack bar, which felt unusual. Additionally, our tour mentioned a souvenir, but we didn't receive any information about that. It would have been nice to stop at the visitor center to have the option to buy something.
This tour is excellent and full of information. The bus driver was polite, and the lunch was wonderful, with plenty of snacks offered. Being able to get on and off the bus to experience the sights and capture photos was enjoyable. The bus ride was very comfortable and accommodating.
