We took the Casanova Yellowstone Upper Loop Wildlife Tour and it was beyond our expectations. Our guide, Brian Burrus, was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about nature. He went the extra mile to help us find what we wanted to see. Just 15 minutes after our 6 am start, we encountered a herd of bison, including calves, that walked right by our vehicle, providing incredible photo opportunities. As we made our way to Lamar Valley, Brian was vigilant in spotting wildlife, guiding us to animals we might have missed, and even capturing videos and photos that he later emailed to us. We witnessed a remarkable variety of wildlife, including two black bears (one with cubs), three young badgers, four wolf sightings, several pronghorn antelope, elk, a mountain goat on a rock face, a Rocky Mountain sheep with her lamb, cranes with chicks, a large osprey nest, and countless bison. Brian also took time for us to photograph the stunning landscapes. At the end of the tour, he even retraced our route to help us recover a lost cell phone. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Brian as a guide; it truly fulfilled our dreams.
Jackson served as our guide and was exceptionally knowledgeable and accommodating. He provided us with extra insights for our trip, making him an excellent tour guide.
Our guide and the company owner provided exceptional service. Jackson was fantastic, keeping our three boys aged 7-11 engaged throughout the day and knew the best spots for wildlife viewing and breaks. Without him, our trip would have been far less enjoyable. We even had homemade cookies with lunch. I would rate Jackson six stars if I could! Thank you, Casanova Tours, for an unforgettable family experience in Yellowstone.
Our day with Michaela was truly unforgettable. She picked us up promptly at 6 am in a comfortable SUV at Old Faithful Inn and took us straight to Lamar Valley. We checked off everything on our list: witnessing a black wolf hunt a bison calf, seeing a grizzly bear with her cubs, mountain goats, an osprey nest with babies, and herds of bison. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and even stopped by the mud volcano. Michaela was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to customize our day. We would gladly give her 10 stars if we could. This is an adventure you shouldn't miss.
We took this tour with just my spouse and our 18-year-old, guided by Jack, who was excellent. Initially, we chose a 5 am start, but he suggested an earlier time to increase our chances of seeing carnivorous animals. His knowledge of the park and its wildlife was impressive, and while he focused on grizzlies, he shared information about many other species as well. We were fortunate to observe grizzlies, wolves, and coyotes due to a carcass nearby. Jack drove us around to spot various animals and was both enthusiastic and entertaining. He also taught us a lot about the park's ecology. I highly recommend this tour, as they know the best locations and provide the necessary gear for spotting distant animals. I would certainly participate in this experience again. Jack also offered us great suggestions for the following day, which we followed and thoroughly enjoyed.
We enjoyed an incredible day with Michaela! She located bears (a mother and her cub), wolves, coyotes, pronghorn, goats, and numerous bison. My kids were thrilled! Michaela was not only knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife but also friendly and engaging. It was absolutely worth it!
We had an amazing day-long excursion guided by Jackson. The company is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed every second, spotting numerous animals like grizzly bears, wolves, and bison, all thanks to Jackson’s skills. It was a fun-filled day of learning about the park, complemented by delicious lunch and snacks. This experience was a major highlight of our trip.
Our wildlife tour was absolutely wonderful. Jackson, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing insights not just about the wildlife in Yellowstone but also its history. The best part of the day was spotting and observing a wolf pack. It was a fantastic experience.
Our visit to upper Yellowstone on the Casanova guided tour in September was exceptional. I strongly recommend this tour and our guide, Jackson, who was fantastic. His extensive knowledge and flexibility in catering to the specific interests of our group, which included six adults and a toddler, were commendable. Jackson's enthusiasm for the wildlife and the park really shone through, making our time enjoyable. He put in extra effort to ensure we had the best experience. We began the tour an hour earlier than usual based on Jackson's advice, which really paid off for wildlife viewing at sunrise. We spotted wolves twice—first from a distance near their den and then a group of six running through a field and crossing a river. We also saw plenty of elk, mule deer, bison, a bald eagle, and a coyote. The most memorable moment was watching a grizzly bear approach from about 500 yards down to less than 30 yards. Jackson had us move back to the van as the bear got closer, but we managed to get some incredible photos. He kindly shared his videos and highlights with us, which were great. Without Jackson's expertise and dedication, we wouldn’t have had the chance to see the grizzly or the wolves. Enjoying sandwiches by the river was delightful, and we even dipped our feet in the water while catching a glimpse of mountain goats on the cliffs. At the end of such a packed day, Jackson provided us with valuable recommendations for additional sites in the park along with helpful insider tips. Overall, it was truly a Five Star Plus experience.
Our experience exploring Yellowstone with Jack was fantastic. He was attentive, caring, confident, and incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem. We had an unforgettable day, spotting three grizzlies. This tour is undoubtedly a must-do, and I highly recommend requesting Jack as your guide.
