Access the observation deck of the Washington Monument for stunning 360-degree views, including key landmarks in the capital.
The timed-entry ticket grants access to the Washington Monument’s observation deck, where you can take in sweeping views of Washington, DC, including the White House, U.S. Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, and Arlington Cemetery.
Included is a self-guided handbook available in English, Spanish, and French, providing useful visitor information and highlighting significant monuments. This 555-foot marble structure commemorates George Washington and is one of the city's most popular attractions. This was a fantastic experience with stunning views. It was also very simple to get around.
The tickets provided were not valid, but we were fortunate to still join the tour led by the wonderful government rangers.
We didn't receive the tickets and ended up being charged, so we're requesting a complete refund. All we got was the initial email with the barcode stating that the tickets would be sent either by email or phone call, but we received nothing. We checked our junk mail and even called the provided number, leaving a message. It's disappointing that this is promoted as a suitable option for families, particularly on Mother's Day, without actually delivering the tickets. I'm including a picture of the only thing we got.
The monument was shut on the day of our planned visit. There was no prior notice via email, only a text from the vendor, not the booking agent.
I made three attempts to purchase tickets directly and found it impossible. They practically offer you the entry, and since there’s no other option available, the pricing seems fair. The experience and views are definitely worthwhile. I recommend it if you're unable to acquire tickets directly; it's a safe choice.
This tour offers great value for the price. Although I couldn't access the complimentary options, I found this experience to be worth the expenditure.
We attempted to obtain complimentary tickets from the park service, but they were consistently unavailable. The reasonable price for the flexibility in selecting our preferred date and time was absolutely worth it. The view was spectacular.
The Washington Monument is impressive, but the ranger staff really missed an opportunity. While they greeted us on the way up, there was no information shared on the way down when they should have shown us the view of the 193 donated bricks through the glass windows. This omission feels like a disservice to the public, as it deprives visitors of a chance to connect with this piece of history. It seems necessary for the staff to ride the elevator down to provide that experience.
I was able to purchase same-day tickets on a bustling graduation weekend Saturday. The views were stunning!
It was a pleasant visit to the monument.
