The audio guide and the friendly bus drivers earned a couple of points, but the overall experience fell short. The transition from the red to blue route happened at point "6" without proper notification. It's frustrating that the app features an info button that isn't functional. Many audio guide ports failed to work, but the buses were not overly crowded, allowing transfers. However, the buses were significantly delayed, and the bus tracking display was only somewhat reliable. Consequently, we missed our chance to visit Arlington Cemetery, despite starting our day at 9:30 a.m. The hop-on, hop-off experience was hindered, as we wanted to explore along the way. I noticed that competitors like Trolleytours had many more buses running. Additionally, the day's service ended too early at 5:30 p.m., with some stations seeing their last bus leave at 4:30 p.m.
It would be helpful if information about the bus pick-up location at Union Station in Washington DC was communicated clearly. We ended up walking four blocks just to catch the bus.
The information regarding bus stop locations needs to be clearer. The website suggested that the bus still stops at Union Station, but it does not. Sharia, who is on the Red Line, was incredibly helpful in assisting us. She deserves recognition for her efforts.
Lena was excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour.
The entire experience was excellent. From the warm welcome by Levan at the first stop until the conclusion, everything went smoothly. Levan was courteous and helpful throughout, and the tour was enjoyable with a clear audio guide.
I journeyed with my 81-year-old father, who uses a walker. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and addressed all our inquiries. I would happily take these tours repeatedly.
Tyrika Kale was our driver, and she did an excellent job of driving defensively, particularly when a large white truck turned into our lane unexpectedly. She remained calm and got us safely to our next destination. All four of us sisters enjoyed the tour and liked seeing the city, especially with the motorcycle police officers paying tribute to their fallen comrades. Big Bus tours provide a fantastic way to explore our Capitol.
My experience has been disappointing. I waited at the Jefferson Memorial for the bus, which arrived but failed to stop, despite having available seats. I couldn’t get in touch with anyone for further information.
The tour was excellent, and the staff were both friendly and accommodating. Ebenezer Keuguep assisted us in efficiently scanning tickets and getting our group of nine onto the bus, including a wheelchair and two walkers, with a cheerful attitude. Our wonderful driver, Brandon B, along with guest relations staff member Joe, engaged with us during a route stop and ensured that everyone made it back on the bus. We would definitely participate in this experience again.
There were a few problems that appeared to be beyond their control, such as road closures and traffic. I expected them to be aware of the closures and modify the route accordingly. They did choose to return to the starting point, allowing us to change routes. However, one bus had a strong ammonia odor coming from the vents, forcing us to disembark. I made sure to inform the driver.
