I never expected to discover an amusement park in Vietnam. As an American abroad, I was pleasantly surprised to find some familiar elements. My wife, who is from another country, even got to drive go-carts for the first time. We enjoyed paddling around in the swan boats and taking a horse and carriage ride around the park. It was a wonderful day.
Ho May tourist area is an exciting destination located atop Lon Mountain in Vung Tau, standing 250 meters high and known as the "Dalat city of Vung Tau" due to its year-round cool climate. The most enjoyable way to reach it is via the cable car, which costs VND 350,000 per person for a round trip (as of January 2019), though guests at the resort can use the cable cars for free. This area features a diverse mix of tourism options, including ecology, culture, entertainment, food, and events, making it perfect for groups, families, or friends. It's definitely a location worth visiting when you're in Vung Tau.
A very pleasant location with plenty of options for activities and dining. However, the zoo might benefit from some improvement or could be better described as a farm.
This park is fantastic! The entrance fee is justified just for the cable car, rope course, and zip line. The other attractions are enjoyable too, and the views are breathtaking.
The ride up to the park in the gondola was not my favorite experience. While the views of Vung Tau and the nearby waterways are stunning, the park's walking paths and general condition were disappointing. There is a fascinating temple and a knowledgeable guide who provided interesting historical insights. The downhill ride was also quite a thrill, but I appreciated getting back to solid ground.
I really enjoyed this place, possibly because I had read some negative reviews likening it to Disneyland. It feels like a throwback to the Flintstones era with its vintage charm. Traveling from Australia, I wouldn't have skipped this experience for anything. The cost was very low, and I appreciated it for what it is. I was a bit let down to be 5 kg over the 90 kg limit for the flying fox, but the 7D movie was fantastic. I would definitely return and recommend it highly. Robert.
It was a great day and the price was quite reasonable. However, the claim that everything is included isn't entirely accurate, as there are additional transport fees within the park.
Initially, I hesitated to visit based on negative reviews, but we ended up having a great time. While some areas could use better maintenance to appear fresher and more appealing to tourists, the overall experience was enjoyable. From the cable car ride to the zip line, go-karts, tire slides, pools, and bumper cars, there were many activities without long waits, even on a Sunday. We leisurely explored this large park and missed some intriguing activities, so I recommend visiting as soon as possible. We'll definitely return, and there are plenty of food stalls with reasonable prices too.
I couldn't enter the park due to reported maintenance work. I reached out to reschedule or request a refund on two occasions, but I've received no response and my credit card hasn't been credited. I cannot recommend this.
The room was quite basic, and while the air conditioning worked, it was insufficient for the size of the space. Upon arrival, the room was hot, and since the power depends on the room key, it turns off when you leave. The hotel is situated within an entertainment park that offers cable car access but lacks nearby shops, minimarts, or cafes, with all food options closing by 6 PM. The cost of the entertainment park exceeded that of the room, and although the rides were decent, many required riders to be under 80 kg. We encountered only eight other guests on our first day, making it feel empty. However, the views of Vung Tau were impressive.
