It was an outstanding experience. I met many friendly and welcoming people at the Pagoda. Practicing full body meditation while enjoying the meals was truly profound.
The Pagoda is truly stunning, nestled in vibrant greenery and set in a tranquil atmosphere. The warmth of the locals made me feel incredibly welcomed. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
Visiting the Pagoda was an extraordinary experience. I aimed to deepen my understanding of Buddhism and meditation, and this location exceeded my expectations. The monks embraced me warmly, making my learning journey truly special. I cherished every moment and highly recommend it to anyone interested in a similar experience.
This experience was truly fascinating. The staff were incredibly welcoming, eager to engage with me despite their limited English. The meditation sessions, intense for someone new to it, took place three times a day for an hour each, which was quite challenging, but I am grateful for the opportunity. The kindness and support from everyone made me feel at home. The food was another highlight— it was extraordinarily delicious vegetarian cuisine, and I enjoyed every meal. I even had the chance to observe the preparation of a tofu dish and got to help by cutting vegetables. The accommodations were basic, with a blanket on the floor in a dorm-style setting. Overall, I had a wonderful time, and conversing with the nuns and volunteers was particularly enjoyable. I would definitely return.
Our time at the pagoda was unforgettable and genuinely authentic. Being the only tourists made us feel incredibly welcome, and it was fascinating to witness the daily operations of the monastery. We participated in meditation sessions, lent a hand in the kitchen, and gained insights into mindfulness and meditation practices. The people we encountered were warm, sincere, and eager to share their lifestyle. This experience is perfect for those interested in Buddhism, and we can't recommend it enough. It’s definitely something we will talk about with friends and family when we get back home.
This was an incredible experience. It was the first time we participated in this type of meditation, and we felt such a profound sense of calm. Plus, we gained a lot of insight into Buddhism.
Staying at the Pagoda was an unforgettable experience for me. With little prior knowledge about the environment of Monks and Nuns or meditation, I found the guidance provided to be incredibly helpful. The organization was impeccable from pickup to drop-off, and the kindness of the monks and nuns made my stay even more special. It's hard to fully convey the depth of this experience in words, but I encourage anyone to simply trust the process. You will emerge transformed. The lessons I learned will stay with me forever.
This experience was truly one-of-a-kind, inspiring, and something I will always cherish. Staying at the monastery with such kind and joyful individuals made me feel incredibly welcome—it felt like a dream. I enjoyed engaging with the volunteers, nuns, and monks during daily tasks in the kitchen, such as chopping onions, preparing tofu, or juicing fresh oranges with green peels. I appreciated the clothing they crafted and the reading material that I will revisit many times. The food was wonderfully tasty, and I lacked for nothing. Even though I slept on the floor with the volunteers, who were also lovely, I had a great night's sleep.
This was a remarkable journey. I gained extensive knowledge about Buddhism and meditation, experiencing numerous inspiring moments and conversations that enriched my perspective. The environment is filled with love, peace, warmth, and gentleness, while also maintaining structure and discipline. For anyone drawn to Buddha's teachings or seeking a deep meditation experience, this trip is truly ideal.
The retreat was incredible. I spent four days there and was welcomed with warmth and care right from the start. The monks and novices radiate kindness and positive energy that is truly infectious. The schedule is long and well-organized, yet the days feel like they fly by. From morning meditation to prayers, chanting, and participation in the kitchen or garden work, you get a real sense of involvement in the monks' daily lives. I learned a lot about Buddhism and meditation, and my questions were always met with thoughtful and thorough answers. I also appreciated the personal conversations the monks took the time to have. I left feeling very fulfilled and grateful for this experience.
