The day was truly remarkable, filled with unique cultural experiences away from the usual tourist spots. We explored the Mekong on a small boat through the jungle, visited a coconut candy factory, and for the adventurous, tasted cobra snake wine. We also prepared our own Vietnamese pancakes and rode bikes through a local neighborhood and rice paddies, all in one day. Our guide, Chow, was sincere and friendly, displaying a deep knowledge and affection for his country. If you're looking for something different, this is a must-do.
This tour provided an excellent insight into life in Vietnam beyond the larger cities. We particularly enjoyed crossing the Mekong by boat and exploring the islands of the delta. Activities such as holding snakes and bees, tasting local fruit, and enjoying music kept things lively throughout the day. We capped off the evening with a serene bike ride at sunset and a wonderful homemade meal in a tranquil garden. Our guide, Harry, brought a lot of energy and enthusiasm, making the day truly enjoyable.
This was a delightful experience. The guide was excellent, and we enjoyed a warm Vietnamese dinner in a lovely setting. It happened to rain at dusk, which beautifully illuminated the garden, creating a wonderful atmosphere.
