Join a small-group kayak tour in Chesapeake Bay, where you’ll have the chance to observe Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins in their natural habitat. This two-hour tour is available twice daily at 9:30 AM and 2 PM from May 1st to October 1st. Guides provide assistance in launching and navigating the sit-on-top kayaks, making it suitable for participants with little or no kayaking experience.
The tours take you along the scenic coastal waters of Virginia Beach, enhancing your chances for close encounters with dolphins. Be aware that the tour location may vary depending on ocean conditions, winds, and tides. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring along sunscreen.

For a chance to enjoy a lovely day on the water and observe numerous dolphins in their natural setting, this experience is a must! Both the children and adults had a fantastic time. We used double kayaks, allowing each adult to paddle with a child, giving the kids an opportunity to take breaks as needed.
Megan was fantastic. We spotted some dolphins in the distance, but the rocky waves caused us to drift away; otherwise, I believe we would have gotten closer. When I capsized, Megan was quick to assist me.
Nathan, our guide, was excellent. Although we experienced some rough waters and only saw a brief glimpse of a dolphin, the experience was still completely worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this.
