I located the kiosk at the Empress Hotel beneath the umbrellas. I had pre-purchased my ticket via the app, which was scanned. The driver, Jose, was excellent and knowledgeable, but we waited 15 minutes for late arrivals, which reduced our time at the gardens. The ride takes over 40 minutes with traffic, so be mindful that the last bus leaves at 4:30, and ours departed at 4:31. The bus was clean.
It was a convenient option for reaching the gardens. However, I was disappointed with the pick-up time; the last departure was 4:30, but we were dropped off at 2:40, leaving us insufficient time to explore. Our arrival was delayed since a dozen people were allowed to buy tickets after our scheduled departure, which reduced our time in the gardens.
The bus ride takes about 45-60 minutes, and it's enjoyable thanks to the driver's engaging commentary. Since we returned via a different route, there were no repeats. We opted for the 9:30 trip, which was less crowded, and had the option to return at 2, 4, or 6 hours later—just make sure to be at the bus stop on time. You can pick up your ticket or verification near the Empress under the red umbrellas, and you can purchase entry tickets for the gardens online or at the bus. The restaurant also offers a delightful full tea experience.
The timing was perfect, but the driver's lack of smoothness made the rides to and from the gardens quite uncomfortable. Additionally, he vented his frustrations about other cars and pedestrians over the microphone, which added to the negative experience.
