Reviews
There are numerous choices for whale watching, and I'm glad I selected this tour. It provided excellent value for money. The staff, from check-in to onboard, were friendly and knowledgeable. I participated in the morning tour with perfect weather. It’s conveniently within a short walk from downtown, just under 15 minutes from the Empress, with a sign at the end of the driveway on Kingston Street.
I found myself as a last-minute passenger from Victoria, and the booking office was incredibly friendly and supportive. The covered three-hour trip was truly amazing. We spotted Minke and humpback whales, along with sea lions and various birds. The crew was also welcoming and well-informed. Our trip ended up lasting four and a half hours, causing me to worry about missing my flight, but the staff arranged a later flight for me without me having to ask. Overall, it was a spectacular experience.
What an incredible experience observing the orcas in their natural habitat. While the sea lion may not have been thrilled as it became their meal, it was still an amazing sight. The entire team, including the receptionists, the boat driver, and guides Catherine and Jake, were excellent.
I had a fantastic day with your team. The weather was ideal, and seeing the group of orcas we had hoped for made it a truly unforgettable experience.
We had ideal weather while experiencing a rare predation event with a transient pod of around 9 Orcas. Our wildlife photographer and naturalist, Catherine, captured the details, allowing us to identify the pod and the male that accompanied them for a time. We also spotted a humpback whale, one of the season's first sightings. Both Catherine and our guide Jacob were excellent in explaining the unfolding events and highlighted the uniqueness of this moment. Additionally, the front office team was exceptionally helpful and friendly throughout.
This experience was truly incredible. The boat was comfortable, and we got to see a pod of six orcas up close. The crew was very polite, friendly, and provided great information throughout the tour.
I spotted several humpback whales, and the crew was fantastic. However, the boat was quite loud and felt overcrowded. I understand the usual boat was under maintenance, making it difficult to evaluate accurately.
I had a fantastic experience with a very knowledgeable team.
This was an incredible experience. The crew was very knowledgeable, and seeing a humpback whale felt truly special. I highly recommend this tour.
The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, and the boat was safe and roomy with complimentary drinks. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales despite covering a large area, possibly due to it being early in the migration season. We did spot other wildlife, making the excursion enjoyable, but it was lacking that special element.
