Exploring the beautiful city of Victoria was a delightful and tranquil experience. Hannah provided an abundance of fun information, while Blaze, our reliable horse, was an ideal companion for the day. Supporting this family-owned business, which has naturally stabled horses on a 21-acre field and forested farm, felt wonderful. The tour featured Beacon Hill Park and the lovely James Park neighborhoods in Victoria.
We had a fantastic carriage ride around Victoria led by our guide Claire. The experience included numerous historic landmarks and stunning views.
We booked the 75-minute carriage tour that was meant to cover Chinatown and other areas, but most of our time was spent in the historic district looking at old houses. Since it was nighttime, visibility was poor. My main complaint was that we couldn’t hear our driver, who didn’t use a microphone. The other group had a guide with one, which would have greatly improved our experience. I wouldn't recommend this tour in the evening as there isn’t much to see besides the lights on the government building, and we missed most of the driver's commentary.
