It's advisable to wear suitable clothing for water activities and to check river conditions ahead of time.
Reviews
Tanner was an excellent guide! He kept us informed about what to expect on the river and advised us on which side to stay on to dodge rocks. He pointed out all the interesting spots and allowed us to take breaks for jumping off rocks.
We enjoyed an excellent guided experience on the upper Colorado River, traveling from Pump-house to Radium. Connor served as our Trip Leader, while Jake was our kayak guide, both of whom were impressive. An extended family joined us, and Connor interacted positively with their young children. We initially met Jake on Saturday during a visit, where he offered helpful insights about trip options and what to anticipate. To our delight, he was our guide again on 8/22. Although the trip was relatively mild with a flow of 932 cfs, it was still highly enjoyable, with beautiful scenery throughout. Safety and fun were priorities for this outfitter, and I would strongly recommend them for anyone seeking a whitewater adventure.
The guide was great—professional yet really enjoyable. We had an amazing time navigating the rapids. If you opt for the kayaks, be prepared to get wet for sure.
As a first-time kayaker, I had a wonderful experience. Tanner was an excellent guide—humorous and well-informed, making me feel secure throughout. The canyon offered stunning scenery on the river. I truly loved it.
