This time of year, the river is cool and features mild rapids, around a high 2 to low 3 rating, which I found ideal. Our guide, Tanner, was outstanding; he made my family and me feel secure and was very friendly and knowledgeable. The other guide, Dustin, was also great. Both displayed a strong commitment to safety. I strongly recommend doing a half-day rafting trip.

We spent half a day kayaking on the Upper Colorado River in single duckies. The boats were excellent, and our guides, Tanner and Dustin, were both enjoyable and professional. This experience provided a wonderful introduction to class 2 and 3 rapids, which was new for us. They also captured fantastic photos during our journey.
