This is a totally different activity in Ushuaia, since we are the only company that has a mountain refuge on the margins of the Emerald Lagoon, with salamander, which allows you to spend a pleasant moment in nature enjoying comfort and enjoying lunch gourmet. Our guides are selected specifically for these activities, so that they can accompany the rhythm of the passengers and thus make this an enjoyable activity.(MODIFY)
By taking this trekking tour with us we ensure that the experience will not only be the wonderful landscape that surrounds us, but that the guides who are part of EXPLORE are naturalists who love Southern Patagonia and we will ensure that your visit is also interpretive of nature. We like to walk, explore, learn and teach Tierra del Fuego to our visitors. We do hikes with small groups, we take the time to enjoy each site we visit, and we take safety, professionalism and care of nature as a priority on our tours.
We begin the walk in the Andorra Valley, we will walk through a peat bog and border the river. These wetlands today are RAMSAR sites, internationally protected environments. Here we learn to interpret the place and its surroundings, being privileged to be there as protagonists. Upon entering the native Andean Patagonian forest, the ascent begins, where steep slopes are combined with flat sections. The terrain is mountainous, so depending on the weather there may be mud, snow or the trail may be dry. The forest tells us the story of axemen who decades ago exploited the place and its resources. The climb lasts 2:30 hours and it is important to maintain a constant pace.
Ushuaia was born at the foot of the fascinating Cordillera de los Andes, its glaciers, lagoons and valleys make this experience an unforgettable adventure.
All along the day, and during each activity we designed for the best exploration of Tierra del Fuego National Park, you will enjoy your exclusive, professional guides giving you their undivided attention. We specialize in tailor-made tours. For the last 23 years, we have been providing the most reliable service in compliance with the highest health & safety standards, and our business is to make available and provide a meaningful and active experience. We can leave at any time between 8am and 11:30am, and we are experienced in making this plan to work within tight schedules. You decide the length and difficulty level of the activities you can enjoy with us here, so please carry on reading, and find out more about this unique service. Tierra del Fuego National Park is very close to the city, so many are under the impression that they don't need a tour, and just take a taxi. Fortunately, many people know that this place reveals its most delightful secrets when visited in proper company.
During this experience you will be able to observe Lake Kami or Fagnano, which surprises us with its dimensions and its incredible landscape. We will descend it to Lago Escondido in our all-terrain vehicles, along the old route of National Route Number 3. On this route, the lake is shown surrounded by lengas, appearing capriciously more and more at us. We can enjoy an exciting circuit in 4x4 vehicles through the forest and by the lake. In addition to being able to enjoy a delicious lunch in our own shelter in a Fuegian Estancia on the shore of Lake Fagnano, where we also have toilets and equipment. Our proposal will give you good times, homemade liquor tasting, lots of 4x4 adventure, folklore, native cuisine, talks, anecdotes and good times.
Beagle Channel Tour: Nature and Adventure. Enjoy a 6-hour tour exploring the stunning Beagle Canal. You will visit: Wolves and Birds Islands: Watch sea lions, cormorants and other birds. Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse: A historical icon in the archipelago. Hammer Island: Admire Magellanic penguins closely and Papua in their natural habitat. A unique experience to connect with nature in Tierra del Fuego.
For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent. The trailhead is only 15 minutes from the city, where the peat bog begins, and multiple wild trails that become more and more challenging appear. After crossing a river, the path goes deeper into the Fuegian forest, where lengas and guindos accompany you as you move towards the tree line in a 600-meter elevation gain climb. The last part of the trail takes place on high-mountain terrain with a challenging incline that finishes when we get to Tempanos lagoon. If the weather is favorable and if the group of hikers is in good condition, we will go around the lagoon to approach the Vinciguerra glacier and look at its cracks and moulins. Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.
Get ready to live one of the most unforgettable adventures at the End of the World.
