Steven was my guide for the latter half of the trip, and he brought a wealth of knowledge and a personal touch to the experience. His storytelling about history and culture engages you deeply, making you contemplate what life was like in those times. He consistently provided trip details the day prior and addressed any questions with thoughtful answers. Although I don't speak Chinese or Uighur, he communicated effectively. We traveled by train to various destinations, and he knew just the right moments to let me “stretch my legs” or keep me nearby. It was just the two of us on this trip, allowing plenty of time for conversation, which made for an excellent travel experience, particularly with a guide like Steven. Thank you, Steven.
