We enjoyed two days in Tulcea, both filled with tours led by Safcas. Our initial excursion was a 4-hour slow boat ride, followed by a 5-hour fast boat trip to Mila 23, which featured a delightful lunch at a family-run pension. The scenery was stunning, and we spotted numerous bird species. The homemade lunch was exceptional. We strongly recommend both experiences.
The boat ride on the water felt too slow, which restricted the number of locations we explored. Additionally, there was a lack of informative commentary regarding the flora and history of the reserve. I also expected water bottles to be provided on such a lengthy tour.
