The 4-hour journey to the Danube Delta was wonderful. The boat, Camely, moved at a leisurely pace which helped me relax. We spotted numerous animals, including birds, frogs, and various insects, both in the trees and on the water.
We arrived three hours early to locate the port since we hadn't received any communication from the operator. Then, we returned 20 minutes ahead of time and waited an additional 20 minutes past the scheduled departure, but there was still no sign of the operator or the boat. Others around confirmed we were in the right place but didn’t know why the operator was absent. It was a terrible experience.
Experiencing the wonders of nature in the heart of the delta is essential. The variety of bird species and the serene, tranquil environment make it truly enjoyable.
The trip was nonexistent. We were supposed to start from Tulcea Aval, but upon arrival, there was no boat or any staff to assist us. We couldn’t find the provider at Tulcea harbor either. The tourist information office was closed, and the biosphere reserve had only vending machines, leaving us with no one to ask for help. We ended up spending approximately 300 euros without receiving any service.
