During my day in Tucson, AZ, I wanted an enjoyable activity for my husband and sister. I discovered WalknTours and it turned out to be the ideal way to explore Old Town Tucson, highlighting its fascinating history and architecture. It's a smart approach to sightseeing that allows you to notice attractions you might miss when driving. I highly recommend this tour and will seek out similar experiences in other cities I visit later.
The tour was well-organized, and navigating the city was straightforward. Keep in mind that museums are often closed on Sundays. It's a short walk, but if you drive to the starting point, you'll have to return for your vehicle.
This experience felt like a scam. I paid for it, downloaded the app, arrived at the starting location, but found nothing on the app. I inquired at El Charro restaurant, and no one seemed familiar with the tour. I was very disappointed.
The walk is quite enjoyable and offers beautiful surroundings. However, the start includes many new structures, like the conference center, which wasn't what we anticipated since we were eager to explore the old town. Additionally, there are parts where the turquoise line is difficult to track and appears to stop. The second half, which leads through the old town, is fantastic. Overall, it could use some updates.
Very well executed and straightforward. It’s an excellent way to explore the historical landmarks without breaking the bank. I would recommend it.
