We enjoyed a fantastic tour with Ellie, which I highly recommend. The food portions were ample, ensuring we were quite full by the end. There was a nice mix of substantial meals and lighter snacks, with larger dishes served in half portions, making the multiple stops manageable. The weather was pleasant, and even if it had been hotter, the time spent outside felt fine. Despite a lot of walking, we had breaks to rest and ride the trolley. Our group, comprising various ages and abilities, maintained a comfortable pace. Each stop was well-prepared for our arrival, with water readily available at seated locations. Meals were served quickly, and dietary needs were accommodated smoothly. We experienced a good variety of local offerings, and although we visited on a Sunday, which altered our food choices slightly from the listing, nothing major was missed. Ellie provided fascinating insights into Tucson's food history and culture, including its murals and UNESCO gastronomy status. The efficient scheduling allowed us time to explore local shops, checking off some shopping while enjoying our day. We visited places we likely wouldn't have on our own and left feeling enriched about Tucson's culinary and cultural landscape. Some advice: If you get a cookie at the start, try it but save it for later—it's very filling and might spoil your appetite. Arrive early on a Sunday to enjoy the flea market. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.
Ellie was truly amazing, sharing wonderful insights into both the food and local history of Tucson. She was engaging and entertaining, embodying the role of a food and city ambassador. I highly recommend this tour.
Sandra provided an excellent introduction to Tucson, a city that pleasantly surprised me with its diversity. The range of food was impressive, especially the Sonoran hot dog and possibly one of the best tamales I’ve ever had, and I’m from Texas! This was a fantastic way to explore a new place, and I highly recommend it.
This tour offered a delightful combination of delicious food and fascinating local history. Our guide, Sandra, provided us with extensive knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and wholeheartedly recommend it.
This tour took us to a part of Tucson we hadn't explored before, along with some tasty local food specialties that we really enjoyed. We also gained insight into the history of Tucson. Our guide, Sandra, was excellent.
The secret food tour was fantastic; as long-term residents of Tucson, we still discovered new insights about the downtown area. Our guide Ellie was engaging throughout, and the food stops offered generous portions of delicious food. I suggest this tour for visitors and locals seeking an enjoyable afternoon in the Old Pueblo.
I had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, and our guide was wonderful. I especially enjoyed gaining more insight into Tucson's history.
This food tour was fantastic. I appreciated the selection, which highlighted southwestern cuisine. Steve, our guide, was excellent and ensured that I had vegetarian options available.
We had a private tour with just the two of us and our guide, Steve, who was both friendly and well-informed. The food and drinks were excellent. Although we discovered later that the itinerary indicated we would visit some places we only walked past, he provided us with good explanations.
The tour guide was outstanding, knowledgeable about the cuisine and provided insightful information about the food and history of the region. The range of foods was both intriguing and tasty.
