• You will be collected from your accommodation in the morning for a two-hour drive to Thuckalay, located approximately 40 miles from Thiruvananthapuram. The Padmanabhapuram Palace is about a 15-minute journey from Thuckalay. Visit the King's Council Chamber and the Queen Mother's palace, notable for its painted ceiling and impressive halls within this expansive palace complex. You will also view a mahogany musical bow, mica windows, intricately carved royal chairs imported from the Far East, and hanging brass lanterns. The palace includes a stone bed that remains cool during the summer and another wooden bed made from 65 different herbs, thought to have medicinal benefits. There is a museum situated on the palace grounds featuring displays of furniture, wooden and stone statues, coins, weaponry, and utensils. At the conclusion of the tour, lunch (at your own expense) can be enjoyed at a nearby restaurant. Post-lunch, you will be transported back to Thiruvananthapuram and dropped off at your hotel.
