Horseback riding takes you through a picturesque nature trail and into the ocean, allowing for a unique experience on horseback in the water. From there, enjoy bamboo rafting through the serene forest, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature and entertaining stories from your guide. I highly recommend this excursion. It offers excellent value as a two-in-one experience with transport included. We took it from Falmouth port with my girlfriend, and the van had good air conditioning, making our trip comfortable. Our driver, Rajaye, was fantastic. We shared the van with three other guests from a resort, so it's worth noting that you won't be alone unless you're in a larger group. Once we arrived, we were given our own raft, and the horseback riding guides effectively created a more personal experience by keeping us separate from the larger group. The first stop provided great photo opportunities before the fun began. While we were initially concerned about the horses, they were clearly well cared for and cooperative. The ride began toward the beach and ended in the ocean with the horses. Each group is assigned a tour guide, who is very supportive, especially for nervous riders like my girlfriend. They also offer to take lots of photos and videos if you give them your phone. Remember to tip your guide; we gave ours $20 each. After the horseback riding, we returned to the van and headed to a shopping center for free rum samples. A store attendant assists with your purchases, and we found better prices and selection there compared to the port. Next, we were taken to the river rafting location. Our driver advised us on how to handle vendors, which we appreciated. During the raft ride, there’s a stop by the ocean with stunning views, but remember to tip your rafting driver as well; we tipped ours $15. Our driver also offered to stop for food, but we declined since we hadn’t brought enough cash. The final stop back to the port was for a restroom break, which may pose a challenge for plus-size individuals, as the stalls were surprisingly small. It’s wise to use the restroom before the excursions. Tipping is very customary in Jamaica, as we learned from our driver, so plan accordingly. Overall, we had an amazing time; the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was great. Everyone we encountered contributed to an enjoyable and memorable experience.
I highly recommend this excursion. Tyrone, our driver, took great care of us, picking us up from the hotel and guiding us first to the horses, then to the rafting, sharing insights about the area along the way. The drive along Sunshine Beach was delightful. The horses, Magnum and Charlie, were well-trained and calm, and the secluded beach was breathtaking. On our return, we had the unique experience of riding in the ocean. The rafting was fantastic, with entertaining and considerate guides who even sang happy birthday to me. We had ample time to relax on the shore and enjoy a swim in the sea. This was a memorable and enjoyable way to experience Jamaica.

I had two excellent hosts for this experience. My horseback riding guide, Crocs, was courteous and professional, never once asking for tips during the tour. However, I was disappointed with the photos from the photographer, as they were unedited and poorly composed; Crocs' cell phone captures surpassed the 300 subpar images I received. The bamboo river rafting could have lasted longer, but my guide, Flowers, was the highlight of the day. He was both fun and professional, ensuring that we were undisturbed by shop vendors during our massage. Flowers took his time with the massage, showing genuine care for our relaxation. I appreciate Crocs and Flowers, and when I return to Ocho Rios, I plan to book the same tour again.
