  Rize to Ayder heights .. tour of dreams

  The tour exceeded my expectations, with stunning views from the waterfall to Ayder heights. The lush green fields were beautiful, and the rafting experience was truly enjoyable. Zagnos tours did an excellent job, and our guide Alaa was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour.

  I had a fantastic experience with stunning views and a lot of information. Samil, our tour guide, and Hussain were both friendly and very helpful, speaking excellent English. I was pleased to book another organized tour with them for the next day.

  Great tour

  This was an excellent tour. The rafting was enjoyable, and the water was refreshing without being cold. We spent around 25 minutes on the water. Our guide was very informed and went out of their way to ensure everyone had a great time.

  Gorgeous views, great organization and guide, enjoyed rafting

  Zenofon Tours impressed us with their organization, communication, and willingness to pick us up from our hotel, which was off their usual list. Our tour guide was informative and offered plenty of useful insights about the area. My spouse and I opted for the whitewater rafting add-on at Dag Rafting, which we largely enjoyed. The cost was 2,500TL per person, which felt steep, but might be lower for groups of three or more. The package included rafting, clothes to change into, and raft shoes, but towels were not provided, so we suggest bringing your own. The rapids were mild—Class II—but floating down the river surrounded by beautiful scenery was nice. The rafting lasted around 30 to 45 minutes. One downside was the frequent interruptions for pictures and videos, with the cheapest package starting at $50 USD. If I had known this upfront, I would have preferred to just relax and enjoy the scenery. After rafting, we drove to a plateau in Ayder, where the views were stunning along the way, especially with the antique Ottoman bridges lining the river. At the top, we found a scenic spot for photos, although the options were limited to tourist shops and dining. We liked Eylul, the restaurant we visited, which also offered great views. Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be any notable hiking trails in the area, despite the gorgeous mountains around us. On our return journey, we paused to explore an old Ottoman bridge and its historical graves, which was lovely. Overall, we were pleased with our experience, though I suspect it might have felt lacking without the rafting addition.

  Fantastic Tour

  We had a great time with a very informed and engaging guide. The lush, green mountains and valleys of northeastern Turkey were stunning! Overall, it was an excellent tour.

  This tour was incredible. Our guide Samil was extremely knowledgeable and ensured the entire trip was enjoyable. I'm very grateful for this experience.

  Would choose other tours instead

  The experience closely resembled the uzungol trip, with many similarities, and there was no tour guide, only a driver. I didn’t feel that the tour was worth the cost.

  Amazing trip

  Visiting Rize with Zinofon Tours was an incredible experience. The beauty of Ayder Plateau, reminiscent of Switzerland, was truly mesmerizing. I want to express my gratitude to our driver Hussein and guide Eram; both were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, always wearing a smile and striving to enhance our enjoyment. Eram's proficiency in English was particularly beneficial. However, I feel that the rafting could be improved if it took place in a location with better views.
