Visit the Anahulu Cave Ancient Tonga Cultural Centre where a variety of interesting exhibits provide an insight into the local culture. You will be welcomed with a Kava Ceremony, and you will also discover the intricacies of tapa cloth making and mat weaving. You will also learn how the humble coconut is used in everyday Tongan life with a demonstration of coconut climbing and husking. 2Tahi Tonga is renowned for their small group excursions, which take you to some stunning snorkelling spots and the most picture perfect little island (itinerary weather permitting). Your Trip usually departs Faua Wharf at 10am in the morning. The departure point is just 5 minutes from the centre of Nuku’alofa or for cruise ship passengers we can arrange to pick you up. Once at the wharf guests are supplied with snorkelling equipment and we hop on board one of our New Zealand built motor boats. The trip includes a snorkel stop (or 2) where we will spend about 45 minutes -1hr exploring some stunning reef and tropical fish. 2-3 hours are spent on a picture perfect island where you can enjoy swimming, paddling, snorkelling and feel like you’re in your very own paradise. 6Experience the unique places of Tonga through a 3-hour scenic drive. There will be a brief photo stop at the 3 – headed coconut tree (really amazing and one of a kind) before heading out along Tongatapu's southern coastline to see the majestic blowholes at the village of Houma and flying foxes in the village of Kolovai – the home to hundreds of fruit bats. These creatures - harmless and seemingly lifeless-hang eerily from rows of ironwood pines along the main village road and are considered sacred and a delicacy to be consumed only by members of the Royal Family.
7This 3-hour small group tour provides an informative exploration of the Eastern Regions of the Island of Tongatapu in the Kingdom of Tonga. An important stop is the place where Captain Cook landed on the 30th of April 1777. You will visit the ancient royal terraced tombs of Tongan kings known as the Langi. Its construction is an engineering wonder dating back to 1300 BC and the most prominent site called the Ha'amonga 'o Maui or well know as the Stonehenge. You will finish with the highlight of your tour at Anahulu Cave which has a natural underground swimming pool with stalactites and stalagmites. A popular place for a refreshing swim anytime of the year. Lastly we will pick you up from inside the pier and drop you back inside the vicinity .
