I experienced my first ghost tour, having previously explored on my own and using ghost apps. Initially booked with another tour that canceled due to low attendance, I was kindly upgraded to the Dead Man’s Tales Ghost Tour. The guides were friendly, fun, and very professional. I took photos and was thrilled to capture bright green orbs in front of St. Paul Church, along with what appeared to be ghostly faces in a nearby window.
The tour was quite informative, although much of the historical content was familiar to us since we had taken a tour the night before in Tombstone. There were a few new insights. Our guide Kevin appeared to be friendly, but his Type A personality and attempts at humor felt a bit forced. The city walk was enjoyable, especially since it led us through areas we hadn't explored on our own.
The tour guide was exceptionally prepared and shared fascinating stories about Tombstone in great detail. He was considerate and generous with his time. Even when faced with challenges from a rival guide, he remained professional and respectful throughout.
The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and we were grateful for his effort to speak clearly and ensure that everyone was on the same page.
Kevin has the potential to enhance this tour significantly. Although he provided valuable information, some participants struggled to hear him since he faced forward while speaking, and parts of the tour ran along a noisy road that drowned him out. I suggest incorporating props, people, and pranks that align with his stories about gold orbs and apparitions in red and white dresses. As this is a ghost tour, adding some surprising ghostly elements would leave a lasting impression on the guests.
This tour was fantastic. Kevin is an excellent guide, sharing plenty of information about Tombstone that we were previously unaware of. We had a great time.
