Explore one of the finest examples of High Gothic architecture in Europe, featuring towering columns, intricate stone carvings, and a majestic interior filled with light and detail. Admire the cathedral’s outstanding art collection, including masterpieces by El Greco, Goya, Velázquez, and Caravaggio, displayed within chapels and sacristies. Walk through sacred spaces that have witnessed centuries of coronations, ceremonies, and religious life in the former imperial capital of Spain. 2Your guide will meet you at the tourist office, to kick off your visit with a panoramic tour around Toledo, stopping at the Mirador del Valle viewpoint, before moving on to the guided walking tour. After the tour, and depending on the option you choose, you will be taken back to your hotel in Madrid, or if you prefer, you will have 3 hours of free time to have lunch, walk around on your own, or go shopping in Toledo, before returning to Madrid. Our guided tour is a walk through the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim quarters, with the option to visit the interior of Toledo's main monuments explained by a licensed guide, such as the 13th-century Primate Cathedral of Spain, the Church of Santo Tomé, home to El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of the Lord of Orgaz," or the synagogues, with tickets purchased directly on-site, no prior reservation needed. Monument entrance fees are not included.
3When we think about the history of Spain, Toledo stands in an inevitable position. One of the three cultures' cities eventually became Greco's hometown; the city of Europe's most recent Gothic Cathedral is one of a kind and well worth a visit. This is the plan: we will go inside the Cathedral; St. Tomé; St. María la Blanca and St. Juan de los Reyes and, between this monuments, our guide will provide a walking tour about the city itself. However, the greatest question is: what kind of visit? We are in 2023; to fight mass tourism, our groups have only 10 people. We could do whatever, but our slogan has always been "We love this place." Well, we assume the duty of making it sustainable. We are The guides you need, and this is the tour the nobel city of Toledo needs us to do. We will make a walking tour and visit the main monuments (including the Cathedral) in small groups where the guide will speak just one language (we do not like bilingual tours either).
4Important Notice : on May 16 and 17, the Savior's Well or Ash Bath will probably not be accessible. Instead, an alternative underground will be offered for external reasons. The only underground Toledo guided tour, the original, which goes down to several private undergrounds, exclusively, including part of the imperial Roman baths, in the morning, afternoon and evening. Discover the history of the city of the Three Cultures in the places, underground, where they lived from Roman times to practically today. Visiting : underground of the Roman baths, the dungeons of the Posada de la Hermandad, the basement of a private house with a collection of models of Toledo monuments in wood and two more underground. Up to a total of 5 undergrounds on the same guided tour. We also walk outside, through different streets and corners of the city, it is not all the time underground. Important: in Spanish only. 5See the sun rise around you on an exciting hot-air balloon ride over one of Spain’s gorgeous medieval cities: Toledo! Flying above sites like Toledo Old Town, the views are worth the early start! After an hour in the air, touchdown to enjoy a sumptuous Spanish brunch with a glass of cava while receiving a souvenir photo, video and flight certificate. Make your own way to and from the launch field or upgrade to include round-trip transport from central Madrid.
6The perfect tour to discover Toledo’s most iconic landmarks. Begin with a guided walk through the historic center, exploring its charming streets and emblematic squares while your guide explains the rich legacy of the Three Cultures. Continue with a guided visit inside the Alcázar of Toledo, the city’s impressive fortress and home to the National Army Museum, where you will explore archaeological remains and historical collections. After the Alcázar, you will have free time until 4:00 pm, when you will begin the visit to the jewel of the city: the magnificent Primatial Cathedral, one of the most important Gothic temples in Spain.

Your guide will show you the most important streets and squares of this city, a World Heritage Site since 1986, to later enter the jewel of the city, the most outstanding monument: The Primate Cathedral, known in medieval times as Dives Toletana for the wealth that it houses within. In this 3-hour guided tour we will discover the Imperial City walking through its streets and squares full of history and you will understand why it is known as the City of Three Cultures. To complete this visit, your guide will show you its most outstanding monument: The Primate Cathedral, known as the Dives Toledana. You will be speechless when contemplating the incredible artistic and historical heritage that it houses inside, which make it the richest cathedral in Spain, which is why it is nicknamed Dives Toletana (the "rich Toledo"). The majesty of its walls, the spirituality of its interior and the richness of its details make your visit essential.
