Following the plantation tour, you will learn about the production process of coffee from its origin to your cup. Next, head to Valiyapara, which translates to ‘giant rock’, where you will get a panoramic view of Thekkady, including its paddy fields and plantations. Additionally, visit a farm to gain insights into beekeeping and honey harvesting, and observe how poppadoms are prepared. • The following destination is Santhigiri Ashram. Here, you can observe residents crafting coir items and weaving at handlooms. There is also an opportunity to interact with the Swamiji (head monk) for spiritual counsel. Take a lunch break (drinks not included) at a local eatery. • After lunch, proceed to a spice plantation and learn how spices such as nutmeg, cardamom, and pepper are cultivated. • Your next location is Ottakathalamedu, a viewpoint atop a mountain that offers stunning views of the Thekkady Dam and the surrounding hills.
