• Morning pickup will occur at your hotel for the one-hour journey to Alangudi, located 40 miles from Trichy. Alangudi is positioned on the banks of the River Cauvery and is known for the Temple of Jupiter. The original structure, built in the 7th century, was renovated in the 16th century during the reign of the Nayak Kings. In Hindu astrology, Jupiter is believed to govern an individual's intellect and wealth. The temple is designed in the Dravidian architectural style, featuring a two-tiered central tower with intricate exteriors. Additionally, the temple houses a lingam, which represents God Shiva. After the tour concludes, lunch will be available at a local restaurant (expenses not included). Following lunch, transportation back to Trichy will be provided, with drop-off at your hotel.
