Pickup can occur at hotels in the city center or from designated points within city limits. If pickup is required outside of these central locations, an additional fee will apply based on the distance.

• A morning pickup will be arranged from your hotel in Trichy, followed by a drive to Sarangapani Sannidhi Street in Kumbakonam, which takes approximately 2 hours. On this street is the residence of Srinivasa Ramanujan, a renowned 19th-century mathematician. Ramanujan, a devout Hindu, attributed his remarkable mathematical abilities to divine inspiration, stating that his insights were revealed to him by his family goddess. His home has been turned into a museum showcasing letters, certificates, and details of his mathematical findings. • Following the house tour, you will visit the Sarangapani Temple, built by the Nayak Kings in the 15th century. This impressive twelve-story temple rises to 147 feet and was the tallest temple in South Asia before the construction of the Sri Rangam Temple in Trichy. It is dedicated to the Hindu deity Vishnu. Additionally, you will see the sacred Mahamaham water pond, where it is believed that bathing purifies one’s sins. • After lunch, you will take a brief drive of about 15 minutes to Darasuram. Here you will find the Airavatesvara Temple, part of the Great Living Chola Temples and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Constructed in the 12th century by Rajaraja Chola II, the temple features a chariot-shaped platform with intricately carved pillars and a Nandi bull statue, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. At the conclusion of your tour, transportation will return you to Trichy, with a drop-off at your hotel. • The next stop is the 7th-century Uppiliappan Temple, located on the outskirts of Kumbakonam, which is also dedicated to Vishnu. Both temples showcase Chola architectural style, featuring multi-tiered gateway towers. Following this visit, lunch will be served at a local restaurant (beverage not included).
