Pickup is available from hotels in the city center or designated points within city limits. An additional fee may apply for pickups outside of central locations, based on the distance.

• In the morning, pickup will be arranged from your hotel for transportation to the Chettinad district. This region contains approximately 70 villages and towns, with notable locations including Karaikudi, Athangudi, Kanadukathan, Kandanur, and Kadiyapatti. The architecture in Chettinad is characterized by expansive central courtyards and colonnaded side galleries that provide access to family rooms. The period rooms are decorated with teak and marble, much of which is sourced from Italy. Chandeliers are imported from Burma, and the large mirrors covering the walls come from Belgium. Many of the original families have relocated to urban areas, leaving their grand homes in the care of stewards. Some families offer homestays to visitors, while a few mansions have been transformed into heritage hotels. Conclude the tour with a traditional Chettinad lunch at a local restaurant (at your own cost). Following lunch, transportation back to Trichy will be provided to return you to your hotel.
