Pickup is available from hotels located in the city center or designated fixed points within city limits. If pickup occurs outside of these central locations, an additional fee will apply based on the distance.

• Pickup will occur at your accommodation in Trichy, followed by a journey to the village of Poondi, which takes about one hour. The Basilica features a blend of Gothic and French architectural elements, including a main tower that rises to 220 feet. Statues of the 12 Apostles, as well as figures of St. Francis Xavier and Fr. C.J. Beschi, are positioned above the Basilica's portico. Inside the dome, you will find the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes, one of the three original statues crafted in France following the apparition of Our Lady at Lourdes. The Basilica also houses a relic of the True Cross, believed to be the one associated with Christ's crucifixion. In 1999, Pope John Paul II designated the shrine as a Minor Basilica, making it a pilgrimage site for Catholics. Following your visit, lunch will be available at a local restaurant (cost not included). After lunch, transportation will be provided back to Trichy, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.
