His extensive knowledge of Terceira allowed him to clearly explain and answer questions about its history, environment, and culture. He was friendly and adapted our tour to the unpredictable weather. We had a fantastic day on Terceira with Antonio. He was flexible with our cruise schedule, picking us up at 8 and returning us by 2:30 PM. Even when I mistakenly booked for the wrong day, he was very accommodating. We explored Praia, Lages, and São Sebastião before reaching Angra do Heroismo. Antonio shared a wealth of information about the island's history, culture, and geology, and he engaged in conversation, answering all our questions. He also took us to a lovely café for lunch. After that, we saw the interior of the island and continued north. Antonio’s clear and loud speaking made it easy for us to understand him, which was great given my hearing issues. This tour was our favorite part of the trip.
I highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Antonio, was exceptional. We gained a wealth of knowledge about the island and its history. This experience was well worth the cost; we couldn’t have explored as much independently. Having taken numerous tours around the world, this one stands out as the best. The van was spacious and comfortable for the four of us. Antonio even helped us book another tour on Sao Miguel on short notice during our brief layover in Ponta Delgada, and we are truly thankful for his support.
We arrived via cruise ship and were picked up from the port, enjoying a comfortable ride in an air-conditioned minibus as we explored the island. Antonio, our guide, provided excellent insights using a 3D model that was easy to follow, even for those a bit out of practice with English. We discussed our preferences, and he skillfully combined them with his own highlights, including a walk through a lava tunnel. Lunch was served at a cozy kiosk in Angra's central square, offering a relaxed and tasty experience. After 8.5 hours, we returned to the port, happy to be back on the ship. Thank you, Antonio!
