My husband and I have just returned from a week-long vacation and wanted to share our experience. We booked this tour, and it was definitely worthwhile. It felt like a semi-private outing, with just the two of us plus two other ladies. Our guide, Darcio, was incredibly knowledgeable about the Azores, and we gained a lot of insight into the region's culture and history. The lunch and various stops were fantastic, and we enjoyed wine and cheese tastings, culminating in delicious gelato. I highly recommend this tour and Darcio as a guide; he even took some wonderful photos for us.
The guide was very engaging and had extensive knowledge about the island, local cuisine, and nature. They did a great job of understanding the group's dynamics. I highly recommend this experience.
The tour provided a fair overview of the island and included some food, but it didn't meet my expectations as a food-centric experience like similar tours I've taken elsewhere. Approximately half of the ten stops featured tastings—about five in total. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgeable, though not overly enthusiastic, and made some adjustments to the tour given that many participants had prior experience with island tours. With different expectations, I might have rated this higher.
This tour offers an excellent one-day introduction to Terceira, featuring a pleasant blend of history, culture, beautiful landscapes, along with delicious food and drinks.
The day trip to Terceira Island is delightful. Numerous viewpoints offer stunning perspectives, and the region's pastures, cows, cheese factories, and local cuisine are all a pleasure to experience. Terceira Island is genuinely an ecological paradise.
This tour was not just about food; it was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the stunning views of the island. Our guide, Paolo, went above and beyond to meet our needs. His extensive knowledge of the local history and culture was remarkable, and he gladly tailored the experience to our culinary and sightseeing interests. I highly recommend it.
The all-day van tour with food was outstanding. Our guide, Paolo, had extensive knowledge of the island and kept us engaged all day. Each food stop was carefully selected, and we enjoyed them all. Lunch was incredibly tasty. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour.
Paolo, our guide, truly surpassed what we expected. His fluency in English and extensive knowledge of the island's history were impressive, and he was very accommodating. Highly recommend.
Paolo, our guide for the day, picked us up promptly at 9:30 a.m. and we explored every part of the island, including the east, west, north, and central regions. We visited various places such as a coffee plantation, a cheese factory, and enjoyed wine, ice cream, and lunch featuring Alcatra, the local specialty, at an excellent restaurant. The tour was extensive, filled with island history and stunning viewpoints, and we returned around 6:30 p.m. after a full day of activities. I highly recommend this experience.
Having visited this remarkable island multiple times, I feel that even four days here isn't enough. My connection began in 1977 when I completed my mandatory military service as an aspiring officer.
